Laine's POV

Nagising na lang uli kami sa isang hindi pamilyar na lugar matapos ang kahindik-hindik na pangyayaring iyon. Mayroong ilaw galing sa taas at nagbibigay ito ng liwanag sa mga hingaan namin at maging sa lamesa rin kung saan nakapatong ngayon ang nabuong puzzle.

"Hayup! Nakakainis naman 'tong damit na 'to!" Napansin ko naman ang iritado at hindi komportable na si Abigail sa soot nito. Kung tutuusin ay lahat din naman kami ay nakasuot ng katulad sa kaniya. Hindi lang siya sanay sa mga ganitong damit at iba-iba lang din ang pagkakatali ng tela. Sa aming mga babae ay nakatali ang dulo ng tela sa magkabilang balikat at ang haba hanggang sa ankle namin! Medyo may kinang ang mga suot naming mga babae dahil may glitters at maganda talaga ang tela nito! Napatingin naman ako sa soot ng mga lalaki at nakitang white blouse ag suot nila at black skinny jeans. Iba't-iba ang pagkakastyle ng sa kanila at kung tutuosin ay para lang silang aattend ng romantic dinner.

"Kung hindi ako nagkakamali ay doric chiton ang tawag dito! Ito 'yong soot ng mga babae at lalaki sa Greece noong ilang nagdaang century pa!" Ani Lemon habang inaayos ang salamin nito sa mata. Kumpara kanina ay maayos na siya. Kinabahan pa ako n'on dahil baka atakihin siya ng hika niya!

Mula sa kanila ay yumuko akong muli at tumingin sa puzzle na nabuo namin. Isa na namang task ang ibinigay ngayon sa amin, ngunit paano namin gagawin ang bagay na 'yon?

"The QUESTION is... could you KILL the monster?" you could hear a bit of challenge with playfulness in the unknown's voice even with the use of robotic voice. 

 Looking down at the puzzle where it shows Perseus's victory in defeating the gorgon's head. One of the stories in Greek mythology that was tackled in our school.

Perseus defeating Medusa made him be a known hero. Being prominent as one of the gods on behalf of being half-mortal, and half god. Suddenly a question pops up in my mind because of this.. "Why does Perseus need to kill just to show people his ability? Why does he need to kill Medusa who didn't even cause him any harm? Isn't selfish of him to kill just to show his excellence, just to prove himself?"

There, a glimpse of memory flashed in my mind...

My pink dress was already stained by blood. Real blood from the catastrophic scenario. I was seating quietly but my mind is in deep chaos. The scene is like a movie. It is non-stop playing and I couldn't do anything to stop it! It might be vivid but I can still hear the shouts and clash.

"Anak, e-everything's going to be fine," I look at my dad. Where's mommy? Why is she not here?

 "We will fight and continue to live, okay?" my dad's always strong and happy. Right now, he can't lie, he can't hide it to me no matter how much he concealed his weakness and devastation at this moment. His voice trembled but his eyes showed me firm sincerity and concern.

"Where's mommy? She'd told me she'll follow me after she took care of some things.." it was just a really horrific scene. My mind can't even take it. Is it all real? Am I not imagining things? Maybe it's just a nightmare, right?
