“He will be the death of me!”

“Aw, poor angel. It’s okay, sabi nga nila; the longer the grass, the longer the life! ”

“Who the fuck said that?”

I looked at Trisha and Angel as they entered.

“Hi, Rainy! Na-miss mo ako, ‘no?”

“Trish, I’m suspended. Anong gagawin ko?”

She gave me a puppy smile as she let go of my arm and let me sit properly.

She then looked at the books on the mini table just between us.

She’s right.

"Is Nath done with his tasks?"

"That’s the problem," her voice is filled with worry and disappointment. "He burned it."

My lips gaped. “A-All of it?”

“All of it.”

“Oh, my gods! Another aayusin ni ate Angel, check!”

"I don’t know anymore," Angel whispered with despair as her hand massaged her forehead. "He will be the cause of my death."

Trisha chuckled again. “Very good si bunso!”

I must say, ibang level ang kagaguhan ng isang ‘yon. I wouldn't be surprised if he decided to burn down the entire academy next, just for fun. It's tempting to drown him over and over until he comes to his senses.

“Oh, before I forget, the professors finally announced the midterm examination, and it will happen next month,” Angel stated. “Better be ready, Rain. The exams here at the academy are not like those at the other normal schools in town. It challenges everything in us.”
