Hi there, my dear friends :)
If by any chance you managed to miss the story which hit the top lines of Non-Teen Fiction so many times I lost count, it'll be my pleasure tonight to introduce you to quite an entertaining piece of reading.
I would have called "The Italian Billionaire's Lover" a cliche love story where the main male character is disgustingly rich, breathtakingly handsome, and oh-so-sexily jerkish, whereas the leading female part is given to a soft beautiful thing who doesn't realise that she's in fact beautiful, sexy and wanted almost till the end of the book. I would have, but I cannot, even if everything I said before fits this book better than second skin :) The reason behind it is that this cute love story managed to stir up a ridiculous amount of violence in me, provided that I'm a stricktly non-violent person, but here we go -
My Billionaire Hit List:
1. Throughout the book I felt a burning need to punch Tomas in the face for being an arrogant jerk! I even remember asking Sinaidkincaid16 for a permission to hit him with a baseball bat at some point. She didn't let me, by the way.... I guess she likes him :)
2. Every now and then I felt like giving Alina a good shake and shouting into her face, "Talk to him, talk to him, grow a backbone, dammit!!!!!"..... or maybe just slap her with a cold dead fish for being such a namby-pamby... well, you get the idea :)
3. Gabriela.... that b*tch had to be poisoned in early childhood, preferably by Keres (Tomas' precious mother), so that Keres could spend some quality time in a nice prison cell... hm... I'm getting carried away, so I'd better stop here :)
What's undoubtedly good about this story:
- a happy ending is guaranteed per se, though as far as I understood not everybody was fully satisfied with the exact amount of happiness in the end, they wanted it to be happier. Actually, I think it was best this way, it managed to stay sweet and not become sickly sweet.
- the very well-written English text is spiced up with a nice portion of Italian, and it's damn sexy!
Summing up, if you want something for a good girly reading, this book will be perfect for this job! Just try not to get to the dark side as I did... refrain from the temptation of strangling Alina as you read :) LOL
