Wow, wow, wow, my darlings, it's over 3500 reads now...if we keep it going like that I might be able to make you at least vote for the books you liked....ok, I'm not a crazy optimist to expect you to comment, but.... a girl can hope, right? :)

By the way, can anybody explain how these reviews became rated PG-13, and there's nothing I can do about it? Huh?

Anyways, how good are you at Greek mythology? :) Ever heard of Cupid? Of course you have, but did you know he's got a granddaughter? I bet you didn't, so welcome to this fun and romantic survival guide to Greek and not-so Greek mythology.

The reasons why you should read this fabulous story are the following:

- the plot is highly original and I find the very idea of Cupid quitting business very amusing :) I mean, look at the cast, can you imagine Raoul Bova retiring? :)

- ok, Greek mythology!!!! It's been the biggest perk of the story to me, the reason I even started reading it, and never did regret this choice. The way good old gods are integrated into modern society is absolutely brilliant! The immortals live in Olympic Lane and are usually driven there by Hermes' grandson in the taxi, isn't it just so wonderfully out of the ordinary? :)

- apart from Greek mythology we get glimpses of Roman mythology, which is inevitable as those two are so interrelated, but we also get fallen angels as a bonus, LOL :) Let's say this story provides a curious bunch of mythical creatures, and reading about them might encourage some people to do their own research in ancient mythology, which would be just great!

- there's a very sad thing about Peyton's job of a matchmaker - whenever she finds a perfect match for a person, they forget about her immediately and for good. And there is also a certain best friend who's human and single, and Peyton's dreading the day when she has to give up her friend in order to make Brooke happy... well, it's heartbreaking to read, I actually cried.

- it would be impossible to write a book about Cupid and his family members and avoid an actual love story, and so we have a nice and complicated one in this book, but I'm not going to say anything about it because I don't want to spoil it for you. Just one thing, maybe - every time when you think that everything is pretty obvious, you are told different and get confused again, trust Eros on that!

- I'm easily bribed, and every story that has "Queen" music or lyrics in it becomes my favourite at least for a little while, but the way Peyton sang "Bohemian Rhapsody" while cleaning the flat, using a broom instead of a guitar, reminded me so much of myself, that...yeah, I could not help mentioning it :)

- one of the best things about this book is that it opens a series of stories, which means we've got lots of enjoyable reading, so if you haven't checked it out yet, it would be high time you did it :)

I remind you that every single book that I review here can be found in my reading list called "Enjoyed", so that you don't have to waste your time searching for these lovely stories :)
