Hi there, my little bookworms :) It's been forever but I'm back. Done with all the film festivals, enjoying my vocation and extensive reading. Right now I'm eating cherries and going to tell you about a beautiful story by LilianCarmine. In fact, all her stories are beautiful, but this one is special.

I actually mentioned this story before, but it deserves a review of its own. In the beginning we were promised just a short side story to help us survive the Lost Boys deprivation, but it looks like either we behaved really well during the year or we simply got extremely lucky - Lilian seems unable to write short, bless her :)

In case you managed to miss this wonderful book, you've got yourself an exciting journey with Joey back in time, and though the Lost Boys are next to non-existent in the story, you're going to meet the Rebels, the guys just as adorable as the ones we know and love. AND you will meet a seventeen-year-old Tristan!!!!! (excuse my little fungirling moment here, can't help it) Be assured, you are in for a great story with a very unexpected twist at the very end when everything seems settled and over.

The book is filled with magic, as usual :) The magic of a stone that enables Joey to go back in time and meet her young parents and then her husband; the magic of falling in love over and over again, and most importantly, the magic of a kind soul that sees the best in people and brings peace, happiness and kindness to other people's hearts.

In my opinion, this extraordinary kindness and gentleness are the essential qualities that Lilian's writing possesses. If you remember my ranting about good books and how they not only entertain us but also give us something to think about or teach us something, then it won't come as a surprise when I tell you that this wonderful, magical book can actually teach us something. And that something is the belief that the majority of people are good and worthy of love. A beautiful message, isn't it? :)

One last thing - you don't necessarily need to read The Lost Boys in order to fall in love with Joey and The Rebels, though you might find a couple of moments a bit confusing. There is a preview of The Lost Boys in Lilian's List of Works, so you can have an idea of the very first book in case you're not familiar with it. I also know that the first book in the series is being published in October, and pre-order is available. I personally have already pre-ordered my paper copy, and so can you if you go to www.bookdepository.com. They have free shipment, mind you! :)

Oh, and Lilian! If the book is ever going to be translated in Russian... you'll never find a more caring and loving person for the job than modest and humble me ;) and I mean it :)

Have a wonderful time reading, my friends. I've got a couple more reviews for you coming this week :)
