"J-Josh. Uhm," I swallowed hard. "Hi."

Josh gave a slight nod and cleared his throat. "Abby's not here."

"I know. I'm not looking for her, actually."

"Oh. Okay." He slightly frowned. He still hasn't made a move to invite me inside.

Now, I'm blushing. "Uhm, can I go inside?" And please wear a shirt, I added mentally.

He stared at me for a few seconds before he sighed and gestured me inside. Okay, that's not a good sign. I summoned all my courage and sat down on the love seat waiting for Josh to also sit down. But instead, he just leaned on the wall facing me and crossed his arms across his bare chest. Oh, heavens! I have never felt more self-conscious before.

"So," He started. "Is there anything I can do for you that Abby can't?"

I opened my mouth but shut it again. I don't think I can form comprehensible words like this. "Uh, can you, uhm, please, put on a shirt first?" I'm pretty sure that my face is burning. I heard Josh chuckle as he leaves. I exhaled in relief. This is harder than I thought.

"Shirt's on." Josh announced as he came back a few minutes later. He looked amused but he still didn't sit down.

I swallowed and bit my lower lip. Now I totally forgot the lines I would say that I rehearsed in my room before I came here.

Josh sighed heavily and sat down on the sofa across me. "What is it, Meg?"

I looked up at him and saw that he was also staring at me. "I'm sorry."

"What for?" He was still staring at me with his emotions hidden.
