Chapter 2

~lunch~
I sat down with my new friend, Laura, and her friends.

The cafeteria food wasn't the best.

I scanned the lunchroom and saw Hayes with his friends.

I don't get it. I can't get him out of my head.

He's nice and all, but I don't even know him.

I can't like him like that.

Can I?

Yes.

Do I?

No.

"Hey Nicole. you ok?" Laura asked "yeah, I'm fine."

I looked back up and saw Hayes looking at me.

He winked at me then looked back at one of his friends.

I just sat there shocked... and kind of uncomfortable.

This is a new feeling.

Do I seriously like him? I don't even know him. It's probably just because he's freaking hot.

I looked back up at him.

Yeah. That's defiantly why

It turns out Hayes and I have most of our classes together. Health, literature, social studies, and study hall.

It was honestly kind of weird because in two of those classes I sat next to him.

Let's just hope I don't screw things up like always.
