It was her engagement party and Diadem was supposed to have a lot of fun. But the moment that Vince popped in the party, her night was ruined.

Diadem became restless and tensed. And everytime Vince shot him a disarming look, she would shiver inside. Though she was already expecting that Vince would come, hindi niya inaasahan na magdadala ito ng babae. It brought back the painful memory of her first ever heartbreak in Temptress Resort. Her heart started pounding so hard that she was thankful that the music shifted to a slow one. Naninikip na naman kasi ang kanyang dibdib.

She couldn't help but scrutinize the woman in Vince's hands. Iba iyon sa babaeng kalampungan nito noon sa resort. Bago? That was how fast he changes women? She sighed. Apparently, Vince was a womanizer. Sabagay, he could easily snatch women and shift from one lap to another. He knew how to put his good looks to work. Ang malas lang nilang mga babae na nabiktima nito.

But this one that he was with right now was better looking. She looked classy and elegant and quite a looker. Her face radiated tenderness, someone who couldn't afford to toy with other people's feelings. She was a good catch. She was certainly aware of that. Iyong tipong sineseryoso at hindi pinaglalaruan.

May kung anong kudlit na naramdaman siya sa kanyang dibdib sa isiping iyon. Strange, but she pitied the woman if ever Vince would just play with her. Pero mukhang hindi naman. Sa klase ng titig nito sa magandang babae, parang nirerespeto naman nito. In fact, he was holding her firm as if he was protecting her. And suddenly, she envied the woman.

Hindi niya tuloy maiwasang isipin na pinaglaruan lamang siya ni Vince. Well, he hated her and he had an agenda. He was seeking revenge. Siguro itong kasama nitong babae ang tunay na sinisinta nito.

Parang may tumusok na mga karayom na naman sa kanyang puso. She pulled her gaze away from him and pretended as if she wasn't affected by his presence. She focused her attention to Rohan while she tried to enjoy the moment. But she was disturbed inside. She knew that Vince was here to ruin her engagement party and she wouldn't make him happy by succumbing to his plan.

Nakapagdesisyon na siya. Magsisimula siya ng panibagong buhay sa piling ni Rohan. At malapit na silang magpapakasal. But she had to deal with Vince one of these days and maybe put an end to their already escalating rift. Mukhang wala na kasing patutunguhan iyon. Certainly, Kung walang susuko isa man sa kanila, hindi matatapos ang away nila.

Vince wouldn't be the one who would back out. So it should be her. Kailangan niyang gawin iyon. Magsisimula na siya ng panibagong buhay. At kailanman ay hindi siya magkakaroon ng katahimikan kapag hindi naayos ang hidwaan sa pagitan nila ni Vince. She knew that he wanted her blood pero baka naman mapakiusapan niya ito.

She held on to Rohan as she fought how Vince made her lost her poise. Rohan looked as if he was enjoying the moment with her, but she couldn't help but notice the shift in his mood when he saw Vince and the woman he had in his arms.

Weird, but he looked as if smitten by the woman's beauty. Ganoon ito kaganda? When she thought that she couldn't stop her hands from shaking and her legs were so soft already that she couldn't even properly hold her balance, niyaya niya si Rohan na bumalik na sa kanilang mesa. Just like her, he looked disoriented, too.

She breathed a sigh of relief when they reached their table and she sank her behind in a comfy chair. Para lang siyang ginisa sa mainit na mantika habang nasa dance foor sila. The night was cold and the slow breeze was chilly, but she was perspiring.
