The next day, he left.

I didn't want to see him leaving. He woudn't let me see him leaving because he left on midnight. Pag gising ko wala na siya and somehow, my chest felt empty but heavy.

"You're leaving me? Sa'n ka pupunta? You can't leave me! My dad won't like this. You're supposed to protect me, Harvey."

My brows furrowed as I listen to Gem's whining. Nag e empake ako ng bigla siyang pumasok sa aking kwarto. Malamang nalaman niya kay Kael ang lahat. Siya lamang kasi ang sinabihan ko kung sa'n ako pupunta.

"I'm not your bodyguard. Ang team ni Kael ang magbabantay sa'yo."

"But you're my fiancé. Are you leaving me for work?"

I closed my luggage with a bang and zipped it before facing her. "My grandpa asked for me and this decision is final."

Kinuha ko ang bagahe at lumabas ng kwarto. Ramdam ko ang pagsunod niya. Damn that engagement.

Gem was always noisy. Why can't she shut those mouth. Be refine and calm like—

Sinundan ako ni Gem hanggang sa labas. She couldn't stop me. I have already told Kael what to do while I was away to England. Do'n kami magkikita ng matandang 'yon para sa trabaho.

Gamit ko ang aking private plane. It was a long ride and I arrived at night. Nagpapahinga na ko sa hotel nang tumunog ang aking cellphone. I didn't wanna answer it. I bet it was Gem. Pagbaba ko palang puro tawag na niya ang natatanggap ko.

I struggled to reached for my phone on the side drawer. I groaned when I saw the registered name.

"Bryan! It's fucking 3am in the morning!"

"Not here. Anyway, Kael's pissed off. Can you talk to him please, my lovely Harvs?"

Napatihaya ako mula sa pagkakadapa at napasapo ng noo. This guy was so insensitive and stupid. Kahit time difference hindi alam.

"Fixed it yourself."

"What kind of friend are you? You aren't even grateful that I helped you woo Ger. I gave you my lucky coin. I used that to—"

"Why did you say it's Ger and not Gem?" Bumangon ako at umupo.

"Well, my friend, babae problema mo, diba? There's only three of them at home. Hindi naman pwedeng si Yka. Gem's gorgeous but... I don't know... it seems that you don't like her so it leaves us to Ger."

Flashes of Ger's face with a woman's body continuously flowed in my mind like a waterfall. It seemed beautiful and amazing but it's not gonna happen so I laughed and shook my head.

"Of course... or is she not?"

I frowned. His tone while dragging the last word ignited my curiosity. "What do you mean?"

"Tsk tsk... tsk... Harvs, Harvs... Harvvvssss—"

"Stop it and talk!" Singhal ko.

And then there's beeping. This dumbass hung up. I can't believe it!

Yung mga sinabi niya. Paulit ulit na bumabalik sa isip ko. Is this possible... that Ger is...

No. That can't be. But what if it's true.

Bryan can be crazy, playful, idiot and out of hand but he's not a liar. Well, at least when it comes to me, he won't lie.
