Hello, everybody, and welcome to the final part of Author Games: Age of Rebellion! On behalf of all the Gamemakers, I would like to thank everybody who has read and voted, and, more importantly, all our competitors. Without you guys, there wouldn't even be a competition and we are ever-grateful for your participation and sportsmanship.

And while we're on the thanks, I would like to give massive thank-yous to my fellow Gamemakers _justcloseyoureyes_, Oh_Nostalgia and GhostOfTheIceberg, who have been absolutely fantastic throughout. They have had to tolerate constant messages demanding opinions, dedicate hours to reading and ranking entries, think up at least one task a week (which is more difficult than it sounds) and put up with an endless amount of stressing and complaining - mostly from me. Their effort and patience has made this so much easier to run. Thanks, you lot!

Please note: do not post spoilers in the comments. If you think that it's a good sort of malicious revenge (don't sneer, it's happened!), then think again: it only makes you look petty, immature and pathetic.

Third Place

One of the standout characters from the start, our third-place writer has performed notably every single task, as well as being committed enough to disrupt their own holiday (we don't recommend this) in order to complete their entries. With a flair for interpreting our tasks a little differently to everybody else and a knack for ironic humour, we always looked forward to reading whatever they came up with. One of the two Capitol tributes to make it through to the final, their character really made the most of their unusual perspective to their advantage to storm the Capitol and rightfully claim third place for their own.

Iliana Noble (FragileBeast)

Second Place

One of this competition's dark horses - and yes, that is a pun of sorts - second place goes to a writer who really outdid himself and showed us all just what he is capable of. Some may have discounted him based on his tribute score, but he soon proved those writers wrong, demonstrating an ability to mix a character's past with their present and create somebody believable who we constantly wanted to know more about. His understanding of his character was cemented in The Betrayal, and a stunning performance has seen him take a well-deserved second place. Congratulations!

Peter Steele (TheDarkHorse)

First Place

That means, of course, that our victor can only be one person! The first President of this account was always going to make a splash with his risky choice of character; the ex-Head Gamemaker back to wreak revenge over his old colleagues. Combining such a unique character opportunity with a distinctive, vivid style that never fails to stand out, HeadOnJackwards stormed through the opposition and produced an intelligent and astute entry to win a closely-contested final that none of us were willing to try and predict. Ladies and gentlemen, your victor!

Vibbius Cretore (HeadOnJackwards)

And unfortunately, that's it! Age of Rebellion is now officially over. But don't worry; we'll be back with a victor's interview shortly, and if you keep an eye on The Odds then we'll have a few little treats for you as we work up to our next Games. Keep your eyes peeled for hints!

Thank you, as ever, for your support,

~ The Author_Games team :)
