Episode 1 reaction: The art style is different from Soul Eater. In both Character design and background. They have real noses!
Death City and the DWMA are in America? Did I miss something? Return characters!! But it doesn't seem like they will have any real parts besides helping the new students learn. Sid isn't a Zombie anymore? Soul looks different wearing a high school uniform. Maka looks the same, plus a nose. Hair color looks a tad different though.
Medusa is still working as the DWMA's nurse? Does this take place somewhere in the middle or before Soul Eater?
From the first episode alone I'm not sure if it'll be good or not yet. But maybe given Soul Eater.

Okay so this is like a prequel to Soul Eater that takes place somewhere in the Soul Eater Universe.
Overall, it was alright, but nowhere as good as the orginal. But it is worth watching if you love Soul Eater, and want to see all the old characters when they were younger.
I give it a 3 out of 5.
