THE WISHES TO LIVE

"Sander..."
"Is he awake now? Put the video call on," utos ni Ysiquel. Kaagad itong ginawa ni Sebastian. Pinindot na rin n'ya ang maliit na button malapit sa headboard upang magpatawag ng nars.
"Okay na kuya," ani Sebastian. Napansin ni Sebastian ang pagkakamot ng ulo ni Sander. Mukhang ayaw nitong pag-usapan ang sakit n'ya.
Agad na dumating si Dr Sue na may kasunod na isa pang doktor at isang nars.
"How are you feeling, Sander?" Tanong ni Dr Sue.
"It feels like my head is getting crushed," pag-amin nito. Marahil ay kaunting sakit pa ay mapapa-iyak na s'ya. Pakiramdam n'ya ay limpak-limpak na mga bato ang ginigisa sa kanyang sentido lalo na sa may likuran ng kanyang mata.
"It would definitely feel that way," saad ng kasamang doktor. "I'm Dr Red Vaugh Luwen, a brain surgeon and researcher," inilahad ng doktor ang kanyang kamay at tinanggap naman ito ni Sander.
"I don't think I've seen you around this hospital, Dr Luwen."
"No. I'm from a brain tumor research facility in America. Dr Sue has been in contact with me regarding your case and one of my colleagues forwarded the emails you have sent about your illness."
