Part 9

The Next Morning - 1 day left until University .

Today's my last day here before break ends and I have to go back for another 6 months. I've learned so much by just being here for these couple weeks. I learned to fall in love again, I learned more about my brother, I made a new friend. This all happened so quickly that it feels so unreal that I'm leaving them tomorrow, but maybe I'll like going back to school.

I turned over and didn't see Joe in the bed, I sat up and looked around the room as I thought of where he went. It's only 9:45am, he's usually not up this early. I got out of the bed and went out into the living room, and there he was, in the kitchen, making breakfast.

"Goodmorning sunshine." I said and hugged him from behind. He turned around in my hug and gave me a kiss.
"Goodmorning beautiful. How'd you sleep?" I walked over to the island and sat down.
"I slept good, I was up till maybe 1 or so with Caspar but that's about it." He took the pan off the stove and put pancakes on a plate.
"Up with Caspar for what?" He started pouring juice into our cups and getting eggs out.
"I woke up in the middle of the night, you were already sleeping and I didn't want to wake you. So I went and talked to Caspar because he was still up and of course I wasn't going to talk to Oli, he was fucking around with someone last night." I explained, Joe nodded his head and began making the eggs.
"Did he apologize for what happened yesterday?"
"Yes he did. We talked about a lot last night, I feel like I actually understand my brother a lot more. We've just kind of been distant in each others lives you know? We just had to find our way back to each other."
"Yeah, I understand. Well I'm glad he apologized. Oli on the other hand, I really don't give a shit about what he does." I laughed.
"You're so cute. Why'd you decide to make breakfast though?"
"Well it's your last day here, I wanted to make sure you woke up to a nice breakfast." Of course he had to bring up that it's my last day, I want to completely forget about that part.
"Can we just not talk about how it's my last day and we can just enjoy the moment?" He turned around with the eggs on one plate and the pancakes on another.
"Of course we can love. Now here." He set down a plate infront of me and a glass of orange juice. I watched as he came around the island and sat down next to me. "What? Did you think you were eating this all by yourself?" I smirked as I picked up a pancake and set it on my plate. He eyed me down as he put some eggs on his. "Not this time Cate." We looked each other dead in the eye before shoving the food in our mouth, we couldn't handle it after a while because we both started laughing so hard. "Okay no seriously, let's just eat." I said. Joe nodded then we laughed once more. I'm going to miss this.

That Afternoon - Zoe's House.

"And when you get back to school, call me as soon as you get there!! I want to know what people think of your new outfit." Zoe said and she had me spin around. She dressed me in creme heels, black leggings, a floral off the shoulder top. "You look so cute!!!" She squealed.
"It's super cute Zo, I love the top."
"Well it's yours now, so have at it!!" I turned around to face Zoe and I smiled at her.
"Thank you, for becoming my bestfriend in such a short amount of time. I'm glad I can have someone to talk about girly things with while I'm here, you made me feel not so like an outcast." I told Zoe.
"Aw Cate, stop, you're going to make me cry." I pulled her into a hug.
"I'm going to miss you Zo."
"I'm going to miss you too." We both pulled away. "But let's not get sad okay Cate? I don't want to be sad on your last day. Let's do makeup and hair so we can get ready for tonight!!" Since tonight's my last night, Zo, Alfie, Joe, Caspar, and I are all going out for drinks and dinner. Oli might tag along but I'm not sure he will, oh well. I plan to make tonight great, without a doubt it will be.

Later that Night.

"You ready to go Cate?" Zoe asked as I just finished strapping on the heel and touching up my hair.
"Yup, ready to go." Zoe and I were driving there together and we were going to meet up with the guys.
"You ready to go back?" Zoe asked on the way there.
"I'm ready to go back, just not ready to leave Joe."
"Yeah, that's going to take a lot. You guys will make it work though, if you really care about someone that much, you'll work it out." She was right. If me and Joe really love each other, we'll find a way to be together even when I'm gone. We finally pulled up to the restuarant and we walked in, we saw the guys at the table and I began fixing my dress. Zoe gave me this cute red dress that was just a little skin tight but it still was a perfect fit and looked great. My hair was curled and I wore black heels. I wanted to look good for last night, hopefully I did. We made our way to the table and once we reached them, they all got up and smiled at us walking towards them. Alfie gave Zoe a hug first and I gave Caspar one, then it switched and Alfie gave me one, then I made it to Joe.
"You look stunning Cate." I smiled and felt myself start to blush.
"Thank you baby." I gave him a kiss and we all sat down at the table.
"So no Oli?" Alfie asked.
"Guess not, it doesn't really matter anyway. We invited him but it's kind of his choice if he comes." Caspar explained and Alfie nodded his head.
"Did you guys think about what you wanted to order while Zoe and I were on the way?" I asked.
"God yes, you guys took forever." Joe joked, I bumped a little and he smiled at me.
"Well we better get looking then Cate." Zoe said and I smiled at her.
