lilah's pov;
We secured our spot a little bit in front of stage and I was shaking with anticipation. I couldn't believe that all of my favorite artists are here in one place and I'm going to be seeing them LIVE. It was the greatest birthday present I've ever received and I couldn't be happier. I couldn't stop my tears from coming down my face even though they weren't out playing yet. For once in my life all that mattered was seeing them up on that stage, hearing their voices, dancing my feelings away and singing my heart out. I didn't care about what else I had going on in my life, I looked over and saw Sydney and Ethan hugging and swaying together, I could tell they weren't thinking about anything else in this moment besides the music and each other. I smiled at them, Sydney noticed and smiled back. I couldn't help but feel kind of lonely though, I wish Ashton had come to be with me. I laughed to myself, it's like I'm third-wheeling at my own bday present if that makes sense. It's fine though really, I appreciate everything Ethan and Syd did for me just in this time and I wouldn't want to be here with anyone else.
My anticipation is kicking in full gear, we just heard the sets from Drake and Kendrick, they were so good! I got to finally hear some songs off of Kendrick's DAMN album, I cried not going to lie. They really brought the energy, the whole crowd was going insane. He played God, Love, Loyalty, DNA, Yah and Humble. He also played All The Stars, Swimming Pools and of course Money Trees. I got to hear Drake play Take Care which I didn't think he'd even play since it's so old, I cried at that one cause I just love it so much ugh. He also played, In My Feelings, Headlines, Passionfruit, One Dance and also of course Hotline Bling.
"Alright Everyone! Is everyone enjoy the show?" Everyone in the crowd started singing. "Awesome, awesome! Alright well next up is a deep close friend of mine, her music is not just for the girls but for the boys too with her inclusive, talented aura of energy. I give you...Lana Del Rey!" Everyone started screaming again, I started sobbing and screaming at the same-time when she came out. She was wearing a white frilly flower dress and she had her hair down with the simple waves she usually has, ugh she looked angelic. She started off with Video Games, just hearing the instrumental I couldn't breathe.
"It's even better than I even knew, they say that the world was built for two." Everyone in the crowd was singing including me. I looked over at Sydney and saw she was singing too, I smiled at her.
"He holds me in his big arms, drunken I am seeing stars, this is all I think of." Ugh! I couldn't believe this was actually happening. After she got done playing Video Games she got the crowd going with High By The Beach.
"The truth is I never bought into your bullshit when you would pay tribute to me cause I knew that, all I wanna do is get high by the beach, get high baby, baby, bye-bye." We all sang along, Lana was doing her little dances, she brought out her swing and was swaying to her songs on it. She played Tomorrow Never Came, Beautiful People Beautiful Problems and White Mustang from her Lust for Life album. She played some more off of BTD, Off to the Races, Diet Mountain Dew and This is What Makes Us Girls. Then I got to hear The Other Woman, Black Beauty and Sad Girl from Ultra. In a way she almost played her entire setlist of her albums so I got to get a real concert from her. I started listening to Lana when I was 8, and to think that she's right in front of me, is absolutely mind blowing.
I started crying when she left the stage, I hope to see her again soon at a concert of just hers. My beautiful lover, I love her so much.
"Alright everyone, we're going to take a brief intermission. Go check out some of the concessions and vendors posted around here and we'll be back soon!" I sighed then turned to Syd.
"Ah man, that was fucking amazing Syd. Thank you guys again, seriously. This is the best birthday ever."
"Well it's not over yet!" She laughed. "We still got Tame, Kali and the 1975 to get through!" I smiled so hard it hurt. "Plus Ethan and I have another thing up our sleeve for tonight."
"Oh gosh, I truly don't deserve you guys." I pulled them into a group hug. "Hey, are you guys getting hungry at all?" I checked my phone and saw the time, it was 1.
"I could eat." Ethan said, Sydney looked at him and nodded.
