Harry: "So, um, I had this crazy dream last night," Harry says while the two of you are out getting coffee. "It was about us."

"Really? What about us?" Does he notice the hopeful look in your eyes, the longing? Part of you wishes he would, part off you prays he won't.

"Craziness, we were dating. That'd be crazy, right?" His eyes stare intensely at your own as he finishes speaking.

"Yeah, of... of course. Us dating, weird!" You laugh shakily and he nods after a few seconds, apparently believing what seemed to be the most obvious lie in the world.

"Figured." On the other end of the conversation, Harry's breaking. He thought for sure you'd liked him, hasn't he seen it in your eyes for the past year? There couldn't have been a better time to admit it (this is when it happens in stories isn't it?), but he must've been wrong about whether or not you reciprocated the feelings.

Louis: Louis was beginning to regret having his best friend over again. She was amazing and awesome and yeah, gorgeous, but whenever she stayed the night he had the Dream. It wasn't a bad dream, Louis always woke up smiling and cheerful, but it was confusing. It was simple, just him and her together enjoying each others company. Maybe once it was okay, probably everyone has dreamed of their best friend like that; it was the third time he realised it wasn't natural to dream about your best friend like that so many times. It wasn't until the seventh time he realised they only happened when she stayed over.

The eighth time he decided not to invite her to spend the night until he figured it all out. She ended up spending at least two nights every week for a month at his house. He kept inviting her, kept promising himself he wouldn't, but she came over many times a month now simply because he asked.

Eventually though, Louis realized he didn't regret the Dream, he regretted becoming addicted to it because he didn't know what it meant and it scared him. That part ofhim that said it was because he loved her was shot down every time because Louis didn't love his best friend! And she wouldn't feel the same anyway.

Niall: "So, Niall. You're currently in a relationship with Y/N, correct?" The interviewer asks. Niall smiles widely.

"Yeah, it's great."

"Would you mind telling us how you started dating? You were best friends originally, right?"

"Yeah, and one day I realized I wanted to be with her," Niall said. "That's really it."

"No real reason?" The interview lady asks.

"Eh, maybe it was the way she walked, but I think we just realized our feelings." Niall barely finishes his sentence as he's busy laughing at his joke.

Niall wakes up laughing, then bewildered. It takes him a minute to realize he's not actually at an interview, it's two AM and he's in his bed. "What the hell was that?"He mumbles to himself. "Did I just dream I was dating Y/N?" The thoughts not half bad in his sleepy mind, but hours later when he's fully rested he laughs at himself for ever thinking of Y/N like that, even in a dream.

Zayn: Zayn calls you in the middle of the night, crying because of a dream. He has frequent nightmares, especially after tour because he's not used to being in a solid place and also all the screaming and chaos. So you've already got one shoe on before you even pick up the phone. In half an hour you're at his house, ready to calm him down.

"Relax Z, it was only a nightmare." You say when you let yourself in and he's huddled on his couch in his blanket.

"But I thought it was real, and it could be real!" Zayn gasps and hides deeper inside the blanket.

"Are you okay telling me?" You ask him and sit next to him, rubbing his back.

"Our house was on fire and you didn't come out and I tried to go save you, but I couldn't find you anywhere! You died!" He shakes a little and you hug him until it stops.

"Zayn, remember. Why can't this be true?" That was what to you always told him, it couldn't happen because there were things that didn't make sense. "We don't own a house together, do we?"

"We did, in my dream! But it was just a dream 'cause I guess I'd been brave enough to ask you out and you would've liked me too 'cause you would've said yes..." He trails off there and tries to squirm away from you. "You can ignore that, wasn't thinking, sorry."

"Zayn, did you mean that?" You ask. He nods meekly.

"'M feeling better, you can go back to your home now." He pushes got away and tries to hide again, but you stop him.

"I wouldn't say no if you asked."

Liam: When Liam came to pick you up so he could take you to work (your car was broken) he was exceptionally happy. "Good night's sleep or what, Liam?" You asked him when you got in his car.

"Yeah, had this great dream!" Liam proceeded to tell you about his dream, the date with a beautiful girl he said was prettier and sweeter than all the flowers in the world.

"Wow, sounds amazing Liam," You told him truthfully. He'd never mentioned a name or what she looked like, so it was easy for you to picture it was you he dreamed of.

"Yeah, it was amazing. Exactly what I think our dates would be if I got the guts to ask her out."

"She's a real person?" You frowned at that, hoping he wouldn't notice.

"Yeah, you know her." You raised an eyebrow at him. Liam liked someone you knew?

"Who?"

"Nope, secret," Liam says. "But I'll give you a hint. She looks exactly like you. Has the same name too." You're silent for a minute as what he says registers.

"Are you asking me out?" The car was stopped at a light so he turned to look at you and nodded a bit nervously. "Then sure, I'd love to go on a date, Liam."
