(His POV)

Niall: I noticed her hair before I noticed anything else. A light from the stage was shining on it, causing it to glow a gleaming golden red. When I actually saw her face, though, I was stunned. She had amazing Y/E/C eyes and a dazzling smile. Unconciously, I smiled at her. When she saw it, she grinned back, a bit startled that someone from One Direction was actually paying her any attention.

Soon it was my solo in "Little Things," and I sang, not knowing that I was actually staring at the girl the whole time. All I knew was that this girl was staring back at me, and smiling, like she was just oh-so-happy to be right where she was.

In an instant, the concert was over, and the girl looked away from me, starting to leave the auditorium. I watched her go, upset that she couldn't stay any longer. She didn't even give me a second glance. Did she like me as much as I liked her?

I looked around. The boys had already gone backstage. I rushed inside, trying to make it look casual, when Louis suddenly popped out of nowhere and screamed, "Boo!"

I jumped, probably, five feet in he air. Then I started laughing like crazy. The rest of the boys showed up, doubled over with laughter.

Harry high-fived Louis. "Great job, man!"

Zayn kept laughing. "Louis got you good!" he shouted.

Liam smiled. "Yeah, where were you, anyways?" he asked. "We've been waiting in here for like, five minutes."

I looked at him blankly. "I was outside for five minutes?" I asked. How could I have stayed on stage for so long? And where was the girl now?

"Yeah, about five," Zayn said. "What was wrong with you during the concert anyways? You were like, in a trance."

"Uh..." I stuttered. I had to find the girl. "I'm just..." I started. "I'm just a bit full." I patted my stomach. "Yeah. A bit full. I'm gonna grab some Nando's, okay? Bye. I'll bring you guys some."I started walking out the door.

"Niall? Full?" Louis asked.

"Why would you get Nando's if you're full-" Liam started to ask.

Harry started running after me. "Wait up!" he shouted. "We're coming with you!!"

Dang. I should've known this would happen. I ducked behind a box of props and waited for the boys to walk past. Soon enough, they did, and I heard Harry's voice say, "Where's Niall?" The four of them came rushing back, Liam saying, "That's strange. I guess we'll just have to wait for him to get us Nando's."

Phew. I walked out from behind the box of props and started heading in the general direction of where the girl would most likely exit the auditorium. I didn't even have to walk that far - the girl was already there, standing next to a metallic silver car. She was talking to a guy- was this her boyfriend? My heart instantly sank. No wonder she didn't take much interest in me back in the auditorium.

Suddenly, the boy slapped the girl across the face. What the hell? Who did that guy think he was? I was by the girl's side in an instant, facing up to the guy even though he was about six inches taller than I was.

"What do you think you're doing?" I asked.

The boy's eyes turned to me and locked onto mine. "I'm just showing my little sister who's boss," he said, his expression transforming into a scowl.

His sister? Phew. It was selfish, but my heart instantly lightened at the fact that this jerkface was the girl's brother, not her boyfriend.

I looked behind me. The girl was silently crying, her eyes and her face red where her brother had slapped her. I felt another pang of anger for the girl's douchebaggy brother. I turned to face the guy, screaming into his face. "Don't - ever - slap - a - lady - like - that - again." then I grabbed the girl's hand and lead her away, leaving her brother standing there, dumbfounded.

I touched the girl's face, then instantly pulled away. "Are you okay?" I asked.

She looked at me and nodded, wiping some tears from her face. I fished through my pockets and handed her a packet of tissues. She took them, fumbling with the opening. "I've been through worse," she said. "My brother's always like that. You shouldn't worry too much."

I gaped at her. She'd been through worse? No one deserved a brother like that. "Why did he slap you, anyways?" I asked.

"I asked if I could use the bathroom before we started driving home," she explained. "He didn't want me to, and he said if I did, he'd drive off without me. Then I called him a jerkface and he slapped me and said that I always had to get what I wanted."

"Wow," I said. "Well - I could drive you," I offered.

The girl's face brightened up. "Really? You would?" she asked. "I don't live that far, only 20 minutes from here," she added. "Thank you sooooooo much!"

"No problem," I said, grinning. "What's your name, by the way?"

"I'm Y/N," the girl said. "And you're Niall, right? You're a great singer."

"Thanks," I replied, beaming. I led Y/N to one of Management's cars, since my car was back in London. I waited in the driver's seat as Y/N went to use the bathroom.

When Y/N got back in the car, I asked if she wanted to drop by Nando's first. She said she would be happy to, so we ate at Nando's and laughed in the car on the way to her home. At the end, Y/N gave me her number, and that ended up being the start of a happy, long-term relationship. By the time I got back to the boys' hotel, it was already 10:00, and they all started interrogating me and asking me questions. I just smiled to myself and handed them the bag of now-cold chicken from Nando's, texting Y/N and laughing as she cracked the occasional joke over the phone. Louis stole my phone and figured out what was going on about two hours later. I knew I would never hear the end of this, but I didn't even care. Y/N was perfect, and I was happy.
