Yahaba Shigeru was very fortunate, and he knew that. His parents were very wealthy, so Shigeru got basically anything--but he didn't ask for much because he felt guilty. Every summer break his parents took him to their vacation house in Canada. It was much cooler there in the summer months than in Japan. Yahaba usually spent summers alone in the large estate because his parents were constantly traveling for work. They would be gone weeks or even months at a time. This caused Yahaba to be good at entertaining himself. He have didn't too many friends back home. Most people knew he was wealthy and assumed he was stuck up. Yahaba had just finished high school, finally, and was planning on going to college in the fall.

"Okay Shigeru, we're leaving now. Are you sure you'll be okay while we are gone?" Yahaba's mother called to him from the foyer.

"Yes, I'll be fine. I always am," he assured her as he walked in to see them off. Shigeru tried to be a perfect son for them. His parents were nice people, and their jobs needed them to have reputations. So, Yahaba did his best to stay out of trouble. He did almost everything his parents asked for, which wasn't much.

"Alright," His father came into the area with suitcases in hand, "We love and will miss you very much." He smiled and hugged his wife and son. He then proceeded to leave the house and head pack things in the car. Yahaba's mother turned to follow.

"Oh! I almost forgot to tell you, we hired a landscaper to help fix up the yard and the garden and stuff. He should arrive tomorrow around nine-in the morning. He's around your age too," she winked at Shigeru.

"Okay mom," He sighed and waved her out. She smirked and walked out the door. When Yahaba told his parents he was gay, he was very afraid of what they might say. He thought maybe they would think having a gay son would hurt their reputations. But his parents assured him that being gay was fine and they just want him to be happy. Wow. I really got lucky.

Shigeru walked through the large house and to the back, into the garden. It was a pretty cloudy day, but perfect temperature for being outside. The sun was almost completely past the horizon. He looked around at the overgrown plants and weeds. Yeah we really need to fix this place. I don't remember it looking this bad last year.

He went back inside and put in a movie. Yet another Disney movie to keep him company in the lonely house. Shigeru made some popcorn and put on his pajamas. After about an hour, he was asleep.

------------------

Shigeru woke up to a loud chime that rang through the house. He sleepily opened his eyes to a bright living room. Oh crap I fell asleep on the couch! What time is it... He grabbed his phone, which read 8:58. The landscaper! He ran to the front door--slipping on the tile because he was wearing socks. He unlocked the door quickly and opened it. "I'm so sorry," he panted.

"Uh...it's okay..." Yahaba looked up to see a muscular man with dyed blonde hair with three black stripes. He seemed to be around Yahaba's age. The guy was wearing a black T-shirt and old jeans. He seemed to have a permanent scowl on his face. Yahaba noticed the man's eyes looking towards what Shigeru was wearing. Shigeru looked down at himself, to see his R2D2 pajama shorts and really big Captain America sweater.

"Oh...right," Yahaba blushed and looked away, "I accidently fell asleep on the couch and didn't have time to change before I answered the door...Anyways, did you need something?"

"Uh yeah, I need to see the back, but it's locked. And I didn't want to scare you if I just started working on the front without telling you. Your mother said you were jumpy," the guy still had a mad look on his face, but he was blushing slightly. Why is he blushing? I'm the one who looks like an idiot.
