How Dare You?

That became our routine for the whole week. Kit will be waiting for me and Soph at the school gate, there are times he would fetch us. Then, he'll be fetching us in our rooms during breaks and will walk us on our room, kahit minsan male.late na siya.

There are days when he's busy with some school works and will ask his friends to be with us, either Patrick or Nikko. But mostly Nikko, I think he likes Sophie eh.

I don't know what or how Kit and his friends did it but there weren't any buzz or rumors going around. There maybe some but Kit might have something to do with it not reaching my ears. Hindi pa rin namin maintindihan kung bakit niya ito ginagawa, pero hinahayaan na lang din namin.

What really annoys us the most is one of our classmate in Trigonometry, Maisie Cruz. She hates us, or maybe loathes us. Chinichismis lang naman niya sa room na before the incident, Kit asked her out, then they did once. The next date, she was rejected kasi ang reason daw ni Kit eh, he has to take care of us. She usually calls us names but we didn't mind. Not until today..

Maisie was waiting outside our room, then she smiled sweetly when we were near.

"Hi Kit." She greeted him. Sounding too flirty with a bitchy smile etched on her face.

"Hey.." Kit said and quickly looked at me, "Text me when you're done, we might extend the class. I want you to wait for me. Okay?" He said with finality. Yung whether I like it or not, I gotta listen, or else.

"Sige." I answered and nodded lightly.

"Kit.." Maisie called his attention once again, "Let's go out tonight? We'll go partying." Malandi niyang sabi.

"Maybe next time Mace, thanks." Kit smiled and continued, "I'll be going. Bye Soph." Then he retreated.

Tumuloy na kami ni Sophie sa loob, nasa likod namin si Maisie and we heard her say, "Bitches".

Nagtinginan na lang kami ni Sophie at nagkibit balikat lang siya. Same old, same old.

After the last period, Kit was patiently waiting for us. He looked godly while leaning on the wall with his headset on. Sa sobrang gwapo niya, parang magkakasala ang sinuman tumigin sakanya.

Naunang nakalapit si Sophie sakanya, habang lutang akong pinagpapantasyahan siya.

"You guys done?" I heard him asked Sophie with a jolly tone.

"Yup! Sa wakas, I really hate that subject. Chaka na ng prof, chaka pa topic." Then she rolled her eyes.

"Hahaha! You should be taking notes, so I can use it when I enroll that subject." He laughed. Grabe! Kahit pagtawa niya, ang gwapo.

"By the way, can you take Al home? I called her Mom, and I borrowed her driver, susunduin namin Kuya ko sa airport eh." Soph explained.

"I have basketball practice eh, pero I'll see if I can be late para mahatid si Alex." Kit answered.

"Cool. Bye bes, ingat kayo ha. See you!" Soph said and she went her way.

"Matagal ba practice mo? I can wait sa library. I gotta check some few things." I told Kit. Ayoko rin naman siya ma-hassle.

"You sure?" He asked with one brow raised. "Yup" I happily replied.

Hinatid niya muna ko sa library bago siya pumunta ng gym, he checked his phone and told me, "Don't leave, okay? Ako ang dadaan sa'yo. Understand?" I just nodded my head. He scanned my face for a while bago umalis.

I started checking some books for researches and assignments, it has been 2 hours, di ko napansin. I feel tired and sleepy, pero wala pang text si Kit. Ayoko naman pumunta sa gym and might catch too much attention.

I was putting back the books I used when I saw Nikko, checking some books. Why is he here? Eh kasama siya sa basketball team. Hindi ba siya naki-practice?

"Nik.." I called in a soft voice.

"Oh Alex, andito ka pa pala? I thought you're home. Sino kasama mo?" He asked. Which made me more confused.

"I'm alone, waiting for Kit. May practice kayo diba?" I asked in a calm tone.

"Meron. Tapos na. He went with Maisie after the practice, when I asked about you, Home lang ang sagot niya sakin." He stated.

I suddenly felt annoyed. He left me? for Maisie? Bakit hindi man lang niya ako tinext? Akala ko ba dadaanan niya ko?

"Ah ganon.. he might have texted, baka di ko nabasa. I'll get going." Paalam ko kay Nikko.

"You sure? Sino kasama mo umuwi?" Tanong ni Nikko. "Sophie, of course." I lied. He just nodded.

I started walking out, nasa lobby na ko when I had the sudden urge of crying. Naiiyak ako dahil sa inis, sa asar, sa bwisit sa lalake na 'yun. Sasabihin pa niya na 'wag ako aalis. Tss. He expects me to wait hanggang makabalik siya? No way in hell. Sana pala nagpahatid na ako pauwi kung may plano pala siya.

I don't know how to commute. I just kept walking, baka may mahanap ako na bus or jeep or maybe taxi. It's getting dark and it started drizzling, walang masilungan. Jusko, malas!

I really don't know how will I go home. Low batt na din ang phone ko. Bakit ba kasi pumayag ako sa gusto ni Mama na magpadrive at all times. At bakit ang noob ko when it comes to driving.. and directions. Ugh.

I feel cold and too wet already. I saw some nearby inn. Maybe I can stay there until the rain stops and also ask for a charger.

I was able to settle in a regular room, my phone is already charging. I want to take a bath pero wala akong damit, I decided to just lie down, I'm getting a really bad headache and colds.

I was about to fall asleep when I remembered Kit, and all I could think about is him partying with Maisie and her friends.
