It had been a few days since we were at the cliff and I was trying to find her to give her some mail. Amphititre was in the gardens supposedly.

I searched for an hour before I saw marks of horses going down the path. Following it, the track came to an end near the bushes.

Looking around, I saw something glint. After uncovering the sand, Amphititre's bracelet came into view.

Then it all struck me. She was gone. There were only two options. She had left or she had been kidnapped.

After contemplating for a while, I realised there was no reason for her to leave on her own accord.

I ran back into the palace, ordering for an emergency meeting with my top trackers and ministers.

A man came up to me.

'Thank you for organising this meeting, sire. It will help us discuss the latest city attack.'

I turned to him. What attack was he talking about?

'Where exactly?'

'Oh, in Tarydos, of course.'

But that's the same direction those marks were going in.

That's not good.

Amphititre
I woke up to see that I couldn't move. Looking down I saw that my hands and feet were chained to the table I was on. I felt weaker. Something just wasn't letting me do anything.

Where am I?

All I remember is...

I was outside in the garden picking flowers for a vase in my study. Someone came up and grabbed me and then I tried to free myself. He pulled out his sword and plunged it into me. I felt my bracelet fall after he had held me. I saw him smile before I went into unconsciousness.

There were voices outside the door now.
'She's awake I think.'

I pretended to be asleep. I felt myself being shaken and I knew that I couldn't keep up my act for any longer.

A guy peered down at me.

'Where are the Oceanus diaries in the palace?'

'What diaries?'

I had never heard of the fact that a monstrous Titan held diaries.

He examined me before speaking again.

'You're just playing with me.'

He lifted up a whip. He struck me and darkness enveloped me again.

'I've got her.'

'Good, has she told you anything?'

'No, she pretends she's clueless.'

'And the attack on Tarydos? How did that go?'

'That was a complete victory for us.'

'Everything is going to plan.'

'Should I try again?'

'Do whatever you need to for us to keep this alliance.'

'We shall meet tomorrow then?'

'Yes.'
