The Day Before

Amphititre
Tomorrow was the day of the wedding. I wasn't allowed to do much about it, Poseidon was in charge of it all and had organised all of it. I decided that I wouldn't doubt him for anything.

Lyra seemed so busy. And so did Poseidon's main 'helper' as well. Since they were working with us, they had quite important jobs and organised quite a lot.

I would see my wedding dress for the first time only tomorrow morning. Lyra had seen it but, for the first time, wouldn't say anything to me and I was really annoyed.

Important people were arriving and would stay overnight in the north wing, where all the guest rooms were and where I once stayed.

Poseidon was no where to be seen, but people said that he was in Olympus. A council or meeting of some sort was happening.

I couldn't believe that in the space of a month I met Poseidon, my sister died, I went to the Underworld and that I was marrying a god.

Poseidon
I was sitting on my throne bored. I needed to return to Atlantis to see how everything was going.

Earlier I went and gave my invitation to Eris, the goddess of discord. She was a nice woman but she was cursed and if she became unhappy there would be chaos.

I had experience of this once. As usual there was a fight between Athena and Ares. They argued on who was a better war deity. To stop them, Zeus, as usual, intervened. There would be a war with two sides, with them at the head, and whoever won would be the better god. They could use any god to help them.

Ares was forceful. He used Zeus and I to create any havoc we could. Athena was careful and shielded her soldiers. Then she seized an opportunity to place Eris in Ares' camp. Now the soldiers were disobeying Ares and Athena won. She used her intelligence to win.

Ares was still a war god, just a but more forgotten. When needed though you could see him at the frontlines in war.

After the main discussions were over, Zeus decided to go,

'We're all excited for your wedding tomorrow.'

Then Aphrodite muttered,

'She shouldn't be marrying that mere mortal.'

God, she is such an irritating person.

Now Zeus and Aphrodite were arguing. At that exact moment, Apollo and Artemis started screaming at each other. Twins. This day was just turning into a great big mess.

I excused myself and teleported back to Atlantis. And I decided to make a visit to Amphititre.
