Amphititre
When we entered the palace, we found it unusually quiet. The double doors to the main hall were closed. Poseidon opened them.

'What. Is. Happening. Here?'

No one spoke.

I asked, 'Lyra, please explain?'

'Every time Poseidon is not here, all of the couples in the palace go out together. We didn't realise you'd be back so quickly.'

'You all are in serious-'

'Relationships.' I finished off for Poseidon, knowing what he was going to say.

'And Lyra, where did you get that ring?' I questioned.

Poseidon turned and spotted the ring.

'I, umm, got engaged to Belen.'

'You two are in a relationship?!'

'Yeah...'

Poseidon smiled. 'Belen, how have you kept this from me? Especially as I talk to you everyday.'

'We thought you wouldn't like it.'

'Nonsense. We'll start wedding preparations immediately.'

I walked into our empty room and sat down, reading the list of things I had to do. I got up and turned.

All I saw was a blur of a woman grabbing my neck, sending me whirling back into a wall.

'Stay away from Poseidon.'

With the only strength I had left, I registered her as Aphrodite, before I hit my head onto the wall again and lost my consciousness.

Something's wrong. I can feel it.

I went into my room to relax and got the shock of my life to see Amphititre on the floor.

'Apollo, get here NOW.'

'I'm on my way uncle.'

I went back to Amphititre. Carefully, I picked her up and lay her on the bed. Who could have got in here without going past the guards around the palace?

When Apollo finally arrived, he came with Artemis and Athena. A bit much if you ask me, but Artemis said that I never called Apollo so something had to be seriously wrong. Well something was seriously wrong, my wife was lying unconscious.

Artemis led me out of the room, to my protest, but in the end I gave in. Waiting has to be the worst experience of my life.

After a long time, Apollo came out of the room. He said that Amphititre was awake and that I could go and see her. Supposedly I had to be quiet and gentle and stupid stuff that I couldn't be bothered to listen to.

'Are you okay?'

'Yeah, that was weird.'

'Can you tell me what happened?'

'I'll tell you later, I just want to sleep.'

She shut her eyes, but I knew that she was just sleeping.

Athena came in and began to speak.

'She told us. Aphrodite attempted to strangle her and in the process she hit the wall.'

'Aphrodite?'

'Yes, she also said something but Amphititre can't remember. And we have  one more clue. That photo of your wedding that you keep on your desk was ripped between you and Amphititre, just like it was when Hades and Persephone got married.'

That stupid woman. Who does she think she is?
