Venice

The plane finally landed and, at last, I noticed Derek closing the damned computer and starting paying some attention to me. Oh, how I hate his job!

It is our honeymoon, for God’s sake!

I grabbed my purse and, ignoring him, got out of the plane.

I was mad at him.

But not that mad.

I still had the image of that sensual creature in my mind, which was highly inappropriate. What could I do, though? He was that sexy.

“Beatrice, wait for me” I heard Derek running to me, as I was already out the plane.

“Let’s go” I frowned

“Baby, Venice is all ours now, I promise” He pushed me into him

I looked into his eyes “I want every bloody phone and laptop OFF” I ordered

His eyes widened and he chuckled “Deal” He kissed me

“Good” I finally smiled “Let’s go”

“You’re gorgeous”

We went to get our luggage and, as Derek was picking the suitcases up, I saw him again.

He was talking on his phone, not far from there, leaning to pick up his suitcase. Oh, that butt!

I stared at him as he was distracted in his conversation. He was alone in there. He told me he was a doctor and all that but… who the hell comes to Venice alone?

I mean… I’m sure he will find himself some company. And a good company if he wants. I don’t think he has a problem with that.

“Let’s go, honey?” Derek interrupted my thoughts

“Oh” I looked at him “Of course!”

It didn’t take us long to get to our amazing hotel.

God, I was already drooling over the city.

It was such an amazing and beautiful place.

And it was so exciting!

Couples everywhere. Good moods everywhere. Nice people everywhere.

The entire city screams love.

And that is exactly what I want.

We checked in into our hotel and got to our breathtaking room to drop our things.

“I love it, Derek…” I smiled, walking around, wanting to explore everything.

“Beatrice” Derek caught me and hugged me from behind “What about an evening walk and fancy dinner? Then we could… come back and…” he started kissing my neck as a smile appeared on my face

“I will dress something else” I walked away.

I actually felt happy. I was in Venice, in my honeymoon, my husband had all his attention for me now, so everything else that usually makes me so unsure was now gone.

He walked a little around the city, everything was perfect to me. Derek kept his promise, he only picked up his phone to take us some pictures. Our romantic dinner, afterwards, did not disappoint. There was nothing I could complain about, I just wanted to enjoy all these days here in Venice the most.

“Baby” Derek pulled me close to him, after the dinner “I love you” he started kissing my neck.

I closed my eyes, enjoying the moment “Shall we go to our room?”
