Demi's POV {Switching POV's)

We got a call.

It was around midnight.

It was an unknown number.

"Hello??" I said.

Nick looked concerned.

"Is this Demi Lovato, Victoria Lovato's daughter?" He said.

"Yes, is everything, okay?" I said worriedly.

"I hate having to be the one to tell you this, but your Mother died an hour ago from a heart attack."

Hazel's POV

Mum hadn't come downstairs this morning.

She always came downstairs carrying Piper and Harper and she made everyone a chocolate milk.

Instead Nick was here, Nick was normally at work.

"Nick, where's Mum?" I asked.

"She's asleep." He looked like he was lying but I didn't say anything.

"What do you all want for breakfast??" Nick asked.

"PANCAKES!" Carly shouted.

Nick put his finger on his lip. "Shhh, we don't want to wake up Mummy!"

Nick made pancakes and sat everyone down in front of the TV.

"I want Mummy." Evie pouted.

"So do I." Jackson pouted too.

"Guys, Mum gets up every morning at 5 o'clock to sort your stupid issues out, let her have a lie in," Carly said.

"Why don't you all go and play on the trampoline?" Nick suggested.

Everyone ran outside except me and Carly.

"She's not sleeping is she? She never sleeps this late? What's happened?" Carly said frowning.

Me and Carly cornered him and crossed our arms.

"Look, I don't feel like I should be the one to tell you. Ask her yourself, go and see her now."

Carly's POV

Me and Hazel ran up the stairs and into her room.

Mum was crying her eyes out under the sheets.

"Go away, Nick." She mumbled.

"It's me and Carly, Mummy, what's wrong?" Hazel said. She climbed on the bed and hugged Mum.

"It's your Grandma." Demi sobbed.

Oh no, not Granny!

"What's happened?" Hazel whispered.

"She died of a heart attack."

It felt like I was drowning.

She was one of the only adults I loved and trusted and now she was......GONE??

I began to scream. I threw pillows, I smashed the bedside lamp. I knocked over the wardrobe.

I ran out of the house in my 'hello kitty' pyjamas and Homer Simpson slippers, that looked like he was eating my feet and down the street.

I ran all the way to the park and sat on the swing.

For once I didn't care.

Hazel arrived shortly after on her bike.

She sat on the swing next to me.

We swung in silence.

We must have been there along time because the sun was setting and it was getting dark.

The lamp posts were lit and the streets became empty.

"Carly, I think we should go home, Mummy will  be worried." Hazel whispered. "And I hate the dark."

I didn't say a word.

I just burst out crying and nodded.

Hazel rode the bike and I stood on the back holding on.

I'm always in your heart, Carly.

What the hell.

"Did you hear that?" I asked, Hazel.

"No."

I'm in your head, silly, I love you and I don't want anyone to be sad.

I fell asleep with that in mind.

Grandma's words soothed me and I managed to not break anything else that night.
