~Wilmer's POV~

"Wilmer, do you think that Mummy will be awake when we get home??" Hazel asked.

It was a week later.

Demi had come home yesterday and the nurses told us that Demi must stay in bed all day.

She slept all of yesterday and she has done most of today.

"I'm not sure. She might be awake just very tired." I explained.

It was the end of school and nursery. The kids all looked adorable in their school uniforms and Hunter, Sabrina and Caleb were fast asleep in the push chair.

We arrived home.

"Wilmer!" I hear Demi shout from upstairs.

She had also been doing a lot of shouting.

"Yes?!" I called back.

"Can you bring me some cheese puffs??" She shouted.

I laughed.  "In a sec."

I sat Hazel, Carly and Jackson on the sofa and turned on a Disney film.
I grabbed a bag of cheese puffs and ran upstairs.

"Thanks." She mumbled under the duvet.

"Back in a bit." I whispered.

I marched downstairs and cut up some fruit for Hazel, Carly and Jackson and they ate whilst watching the film.

I got Hunter, Sabrina and Caleb out of the push chair.

I changed them and put them in their playpen and sat on the sofa enjoying the peace which wasn't normally around for long.

I knew this for a fact.

~ DEMI'S POV ~

Wilmer came into the bedroom when he had put all of the children in bed.
I felt guilty because I hadn't spent time with any of them for a while.
Well it with as only 2 days.
Wilmer sat down on the bed looking nackered.

"You okay?" I asked.

He took a deep breath.
I could see the tears in his eyes.
"Wilmer??" I said. I put my hand on his shoulder.
He passed me a white envelope.

"Wilmer what's this?" I whispered.

"Open it." His voice cracked.

I opened the envelope.

Dear Demi.
I didn't think this day was going to come.
Not at least till I had seen Caleb and any other children grow up and have their own children.

I looked at Wilmer.

I love you Demi so so much but I'm afraid I have some bad news.
I went to the doctors for my normal doctors checkup but only this time things weren't  normal this time.

I have lung cancer Demi.
In stage 4.
The doctors said I have a month tops.

You always taught me to look on the positive side.
Maybe, just maybe I'll be around for Christmas.
I love you more than I can write on this tacky piece of paper.
When I pass my heart will still be with you.

I love you Demi Lovato.

I looked up at Wilmer.
Tears were pouring down our faces.
I slung my arms around his neck and we stayed that way.
We didn't care.
Wilmer would be gone in less then 40 days.
40 days.
I wept into his neck.
