Demi's POV

There was a knock on my door at 11:00 and it was actually quite scary. I peeped through the peek hole and I saw a soaked girl. She was tiny. She was crying.
It was Hazel.
I opened the door and she jumped.
"Hazel!" I said.
She looked up and she had 2 huge cuts accross her face.
I gasped.
"Hazel, who did this to you??" I asked shocked.
She started shivering.
I let her come in and shut the door behind her.
"Hazel, who did this to you, sweetie??"
She shook her head and she dropped her pillow and her book.
"Hazel please tell me, it will help."
She shook and stared up at me.
"I can't...tell you." She said trembling.
I felt terrible.
I carried her into my lounge and sat her near the radiator to dry off. I grabbed the blanket off of the sofa and wrapped it around her. She sat there staring at me whilst I put her pillow and blanket onto the radiator to dry.
"Honey can I have your dummy??" I asked.
I shook my head. I needed it.
She nodded and smiled.
She sat down next to me.
"What happened, Hazel." She asked.
I shook my head and hugged my knees.
"Come on let's get you cleaned up." She said.
She carried me upstairs and ran me a bath.
I stared at the lady. She was acting like a Mummy in the story books.
When the bath was full I stripped off and got into the bath. She washed my hair and she gave me a sponge to wash myself.
After my bath I sat on the toilet seat with the towel wrapped around me whilst she cleaned the bath.
"You can stay the night and we will sort things out tomorrow." She said.
I was terrified for tomorrow I wanted to say here with Cake lady.
I wanted to know her real name. The only way to find out is to ask.
"Exuse me, Cake lady," I said quietly.
She laughed at me. What had I done?? I sat there terrified that she was going to hit me.
"Yes, Hazel??" She grinned at me.
Ok I think she's not mad.
"What is your name??" I asked.
"OMG sorry honey, My name is Demi." Demi said.
I nodded.
She picked me up and carried me downstairs.
She lay me on the sofa and covered me with a duvet.
"Try and get some sleep honey, we'll sort things out in the morning." Demi said.
She left the lamp on but turned the main light off and the exhaustion overtook me.
