Chapter 71

Demi's POV

Nick was waiting at the house when we came back.
"Hey gang." Nick said.
"You must be Winter. I'm Demi's best friend."

Winter raised an eyebrow. Smiled and shook his hand.
They all went inside.
"Come on, join us for Mcdonalds." I said.

We sat around finishing our Mcdonalds. We definitely brought to much but we managed to eat it all.

"Demi can I have a word?" Winter said smiling.
I gave her a look and followed her out of the kitchen.
"Ok, you totally fancy him." Winter said.
I frowned.
"Come on, Demi. You fancy him."
"No, I don't. He's my-"
"-Best friend. I get it. Pete was my best friend and look where that got us." She said.
I raised an eyebrow.
"A couple. Well ex couple. Come on, Demi."

I thought about it. Do I fancy Nick? I looked at Winter.
"I do, don't I?" I said biting my lip.
"Yep. Now go get the guy." Winter said grinning.
"Wow I can't believe my daughter had to make me realise that." I said rolling my eyes.
"Ask to take a walk then talk to him." Winter said before walking back into the room.

I had done as Winter had told me and took Nick on a walk. We stopped at a park and sat on the grass watching the ducks in the pond.
"On the tour bus. I was being serious you know. " Nick said.
"I don't care if you have si....seven children, I love you. I want you. Not any other woman. I love all of your kids like they're my own. You are few funniest, most beautiful person I've ever met." Nick said.
Tears filled my eyes.
"But you don't."
"But I do."
Before I could even acknowledge what was happening.
He kissed me.

"So will you give us a go?" Nick asked.
"Ok." I said smiling.
"See you later, girlfriend." Nick said getting in his car and driving off.
'See you later....boyfriend."

I wish I hadn't said that because straight away I felt awfully guilty and got smacked in the face with the memory of Wilmer saying those exact words to me and me saying the same things back.

Then I realised how much I actually missed Wilmer.
