"Where did you last see her, Kanato?" I ask as I look around the forest, my earphones loosely hanging from the choker around my neck as I frantically look around for my twin. Kanato runs up beside me after making sure Kaho was safe inside the gym, in a more secluded place where the students or teachers wouldn't easily find her. With a huff, he begins to walk forward but stops when Kou begins speaking.

"You're starting to scare me, Shu. You've never looked so active before." I turn my head to glare at Kou, who simply turns his gaze away while humming to distract us from his comment.

"Shu, follow me!" Kanato says and begins running, making me reluctantly follow in his speed. Once I begin seeing a clearing in the forest, I see a speck of blond from behind the trees to finally find Shinju laying on the ground, unconscious. I hesitantly approach her and kneel down before flipping her body to face the sky, only to widen my eyes at the scene in front of me. Blood slowly drips from the corner of her mouth as she remains in an unconscious state.

"Kanato, what the hell happened here?" I look back at him momentarily as he walks closer, the other brothers following closely behind, before turning back to Shinju and shaking her in an attempt to wake her up. Kanato gasps as soon as he sees Shinju's condition, taking a step back in horror. "Shinju!"

"I... I only left for a few moments." He mumbles and turns away as Reiji crouches down next to me, examining Shinju's body.

"There's a stab wound on her arm but that's about it. I don't understand what would cause her to enter such a state." He scans her once more before grunting in confusion and looking around for any clues that could lead to a conclusion of what happened.

"Shinju! Shinju!" I speak up as I continue shaking her for a response when I feel a hand on my shoulder but I shrug it off without looking back.

"Shu, I don't think it's that easy to wake her up. She may have been spelled." I hear Ruki sigh and finally turn to him to see him looking away in distress.

"Spelled?" Subaru turns to him and Ruki simply nods, not bothering to explain any further.

"That would be the only explanation unless she ate something at the event with unknown substances in it."

"She didn't eat or drink anything there, as far as I know." Kanato shakes his head and hugs his stuffed toy. A click of my tongue is enough for everyone to stare at me as I stand up and stuff my hands in my pockets.

"It doesn't matter how she ended up like this. We need to get her and her friend back home so we can do something to treat them." I sigh and Reiji gets up from beside me, shaking his head.

"And for that, we need to know what caused this, you deadbeat."

"Careful. Don't let Shinju know you still call me that." I look at him with my monotonous gaze as his narrow eyes make contact with mine.

"You think she?..." Laito trails off and I turn my head to glare at him, leaving Reiji with his own thoughts.

"You think it's that easy to kill her?" I grunt through my teeth before sighing and bending down to hook my arms under her knees and lower back to pick her up. "She's stronger than anyone. She'll live." I mutter, more so to convince myself so I don't have to face the potential reality all at once. Slowly getting up, I adjust my grip on her and turn to the others.

"One of you: go and get Kaho and teleport her to the mansion. We'll most likely be in the living room." I command and see Yuma nod at me before running off back towards the school building. We all, on the other hand, teleport to the living room without another exchange. I lay Shinju on one of the couches and stand up straight, sighing at the sight in front of me.
