Chapter 83: Dark Is The New Me

April 27, 2016~

Looking at myself in the mirror I can't help but feel ashamed of myself.

What happened to the happy innocent Danielle?

I start to put on dark makeup and dark clothing. I was in no mood to be all happy looking. Darkness was the only thing that fit me now.

"Danielle what's with the new look?" My father smiled at me as I appeared in the living room.

"Just thought I could change a bit." I strut to the center.

"You look goth." My brother came out from the restroom.

"No one asked for your opinion." I glared.

"Well I think you look good." My father complimented me.

"Why thank you. At least someone sees clearly." I gave an indirect comment to my brother.

"Are you wearing makeup?" My father gave me a look.

"Err...yeah?"

"And are those heels."

"High heels." I corrected him.

"Okay now you have to tell me what's with the new look?" He got up from the couch and laid a hand on my shoulder. "You are even wearing your old black backpack. What's wrong with your green one?" He asked.

"I wanted to combine with my outfit." I winced as I felt my feet start to throb in pain.

Heels were definitely not my thing.

My father decided to skip the whole conversation and got his car keys.

"Alright ready for school?" He smiled.

"Ready then I will ever be." I rolled my eyes.

Not even a single drop of him.....

"Have you seen him?" Merlyn asked me while we waited in the cafeteria for class to begin.

"No. I believe it's official."

"Then don't be sad. He is a jerk for leaving you like this."

"We told her about this." Alisha gave me the look.

"I know I know....I just don't listen. I think I will become emo now."

"What?!" Rose gasped. "Why?"

"To cover my emotions? I don't know I just want to hide myself."

"You won't be considered as emo though." Alisha told me.
