Chapter 25

*Edwards POV*

-Three weeks later-

I walked to Gemma's apartment, not knowing what she wanted from me. Honestly, it could have been anything. Like maybe she wanted me to kill someone else for her, or maybe she wanted me to hurt Rissa. Either way, I wouldn't do it. The door was already open, showing Gemma and Zayn talking. "There he is now," Gemma said while smiling. I furrowed my brow and finished walking over to them. "Come in. We have things to discuss." My feet carried me swiftly into Gemma's apartment while confusion took over my mind and body.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"I've been asking the same damn question for about five minutes now. She won't saying anything." Zayn said as he crossed his arms and faced us.

"I would't tell you until Edward got here. Calm your tits," Gemma retorted as she got three glasses out and poured us some ice water. "I have a plan." Those four words caused Zayn to roll his eyes and a groan to escape my lips. "Sheesh. I thought you'd be excited to hear that it involved Rissa."

"I've had about enough of hurting her," I snapped.

"Same here," added Zayn.

Gemma glared at us as we stared back at her. "It doesn't involve hurting her. It happens to involve one of you leaving the country with her and never looking back." I wrapped a hand around my glass of water and took a drink before I answered.

"It can't be me." Zayn spoke way before I had a chance, but I let the conversation carry through anyway.

"Oh I know, that's why it's going to be Edward. If it was you, they'd know. Edward can lie like a rug." I raised my eyebrows and snorted. "Sorry, but it's true."

"Yeah, yeah." I waved a hand signaling for them to carry on their conversation.

"You have to do it, Edward. Otherwise she'll die. I can't keep feeding her, and I hate asking for money."

I sighed and looked at Zayn. We shared a glance, and then we looked at Gemma. "Fine. I'll do it, but what's in it for me?" Gemma smirked and gave Zayn a wink.

"You get to have the girl you love back. Forever. And then everyone can go on living their lives as if Sharissa and Harry and their pesty kids never happened." She gave me a sweet, yet fake smile. If I didn't know Gemma as well as I did, I would have thought she was actually meaning her smile. Gemma is hard to figure out, but I'm the only one who's been able to. "Zayn, if you so much a give a hint to what's happened to Rissa, you'll end up missing just like them." Zayn rolled his eyes. "Understand?"

"Yeah, whatever," replied Zayn. He reached into his pocket to grab his cigarettes and lighter. After he lit his cigarette, he put the box band lighter back on his pocket, and looked at us. "I get it Gemma. I won't tell anyone!" He held his hands up and walked out of the apartment with a slam to the door.

"I'll get ready to pack my stuff and leave. I'll take her to-"

"Scotland."

*Sharissa's POV*

*Three Weeks Later*

I sat on my bed, waiting for my next meal, or just waiting for anything actually. "Why did I have to do this," she asked herself. "Why did I ever fall for those stupid green eyes and contagious smile?!" Sharissa stood up and kicked her mattress. "If I would have known it was going to get me here, I would have never done it!!"

"It was my fault," a voice said making cold chills to hit her back and it made her stop kicking the mattress. "Baby, it's my fault. I'm sorry." I didn't want to turn around because I knew who the voice belonged to. I may have been in here for a couple of days, maybe a week. Who knew. "If I wouldn't have cheated on you, that would have never have happened. You'd still be mine." Edward put his hands on my arms and spun me around. Tears were in my eyes as I looked at his eyes and saw tears were in his as well.
