EXPECTING THIRTY-SEVEN

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Finley!" they greet me as soon as I enter the venue, the place is open. Kitang-kita ang malawak na langit, sakto rin na crescent ang moon. Ashton gave me a bouquet with purple wrap, "Happy birthday" Ashton said, I smiled at him. And this is one of the best birthday I'd ever had!

"Sabi niyo party! Party ko pala!" sabi ko, tinawanan naman ako nila Ashantie. "Happy birthday, babe!" sabi ni Zharina at niyakap ako, I hug her too. "Ninang!" someone called me and to my surprise it's my inaanak!

"My boy!" I said and since I'm holding the bouquet I can't carry him, Ashton carry him instead. I kissed his cheeks, "Happy birthday po" he said I smiled at him. "He said, he wanted to see you kaya isinama ko na" sabi ni Zharina.

She smiled at me, assuring me it's okay. Binaba siya ni Ashton at binati naman ako ng mga bisita, meron silang hinanda na bukod na upuan para sa'kin. Feeling ko tuloy ay 18th birthday ko! It's already my 25th birthday, may cake pa na mataas sa tabi ko.

May malaki pang LED sa likod ko, puro pictures ko ang nag play! It's indeed perfect! May mga tables amd chairs, my parents are present, Ashton's parents too! Papa is here also, and I saw Tita Kyla's picture on the table.

"Feeling ko tuloy 18th birthday ko!" sabi ko, pinipigilan ko ang umiyak dahil masisira ang make-up ko! My friends are also here! Nandito na rin si Samuel! Si Kenchie na lang ang kulang! They're complete! My friends are all complete!

Kumain na kami ng dinner, it was a very long table! Ang perfect ng lugar na ito! Mula rito ay kita ko ang malaking ferris wheel! "May amusement park malapit rito" sabi ni Ashton ng mapansing naka-tingin ako roon.

"I'm happy for the both of you! Finally, engage na kayo!" sabi ni Mommy, smiling at us. "Wala pa kaming date ng wedding" sabi ko dahil magtatanong na naman sila, mas excited pa nga sila.

"Dapat engrande yun! It was Ashton and Finley's wedding after all" sabi ni Tita Ashley, hindi na lang kami umangal dahil alam namin na ganun ang mangyayari. "Pero wala pa talaga kayong plano?" tanong ni Papa.

"Wala pa po, we still didn't talk about the date. Besides, Veronica will still passed some requirements this October. Mag e-exam pa po siya this coming December or January?" sabi ni Ashton, tumango naman sila.

Pagkatapos ng dinner ay pinabalik nila ako sa upuan ko, mag speech daw sila. Unang nag speech ay ang parents ko, next si Papa, and then Ashton's parents. It was a private party, kami-kami lang ang invited alam nilang hindi ako fan ng maraming invited na guests.

Video ang speech ni Kenchie, kaya sa LED yun pi-nlay. "Happy birthday, Isha! I can't wait to go home, soon uuwi rin ako. Good luck to our future career! I'm already finishing something and then I'll go home, congratulations nga pala" he said.

"Wala naman na akong wish for you, you already got everything. You'll always be my girl, Isha kahit anong mangyari. Kahit na magka-asawa ka? Magka-anak ka? You're still be my girl, always be my girl. Just keep on going, I know your strong and independent woman. I always look up to you, you'll always be my most beautiful cousin. I love you, Isha! Happy birthday again, and congratulations sa engagement niyo ni Ashton. Be happy on his arms, on his warmth. I know he won't let you fall on the trap of life, he'll always be with you. Expect that he'll always there to help you, again congratulations to the both of you"

I wiped my tears using the tissue paper, he's speech makes me speechless! Sunod naman ay si Francho na tumayo sa tabi ko, he's smiling at me siya na ang magsasabi ng speech niya para sa'kin.
