EXPECTING TWENTY-FOUR

"NAKAKAPAGOD! SUKO na ako!" sabi ni Sapphire. We're here in the nearest cafe, malapit na ang finals namin for first semester, kaya kailangan mag reveiw. "Suko? Wala sa vocabulary natin yan! Law school deretso nito!" sabi ni Francho, I smiled upon seeing them this close now.

"Pahirap na ng pahirap ang buhay ko!" sabi ni Xayrille, and was about to drop her head on the table when Zacharry put his palm on the table, so Xayrille's head bump on his palm. "Good thing, wala akong shoot today" she said and then look at us.

Nasa mahaba kaming table ngayon, kumpleto at lahat ay may kanya-kanyang notes sa harap. Hindi ko na lang sila pinansin at tinuloy ang pagbabasa ng notes ko.

"Here" Ashton said and give me iced coffee, I smiled at him. "Thanks" I said and he sat beside me "Guys! Tama na please! Respeto sa'kin!" sabi ni Charm, inilingan ko na lang siya at tinawanan naman siya nila Chloeh.

"Sabi naman kasi sayo, puntahan na natin! Ash, address?" asar ni Chloeh sa kanya, "Pwede ba, Chloeh?! Naka move on na yun! Kaya ng nagpunta doon para kalimutan ako! Tapos susundan ko pa? No thanks" sabi ni Charm at umirap pa.

"Hoy! Hindi ka sure!" asar ni Ashantie, mga kaibigan ko nga naman. "Whatever" sabi ni Charm, at nagsulat na lang sa notebook niya. Lumapit naman sa akin si Zharina. "Fin, tama naman 'to di'ba?" sabi ni Zharina at pinakita ang notes niya.

"Oo, ito na lang ang gawin mo para mas madali" sabi ko tumango naman siya at bumalik sa upuan niya sa tabi ni Khairro. "Tama na ang ingay guys! Seryoso na sila oh!" sabi ni Sapphire at tinuro ako at si Ashton na busy na din sa pag highlight ng notes niya.

He have a clean notes, his handwritten is neat, parang hindi sulat ng lalaki! "Stop staring at me, Veron" he said and then look at me. I caught off guard! I was about to speak when my friends scream!

"Okay, bumoboses na siya! High school feels!" sabi ni Chloeh na kinikilig, napa-iling na lang ako sa kanya. "Please, para kayong bata!" I said and stop myself from smiling, but I know I'm so red now!

"Hoy! Madami na tayong kinikilig! Hindi lang ikaw!" asar ni Samantha sa akin, inilingan ko na lang ulit sila at nag focus sa pag reveiw ko ng mga notes. Ang review date namin ay naging asaran at kwentuhan lang dahil ilang araw na din naman na kaming busy lahat.

I, Kenchie, Samuel, Macky, and Chloeh we're already 3rd year, Ashton and Zacharry are 4th year, and Xayrille, Sapphire, Francho, Ashantie, Charm, Zharina, Chelsey, Samantha, Enzo, Evance, and Khairro are already 2nd year.

We are slowly achieving our dreams one by one now, we may all take different paths but we're still together. Xaylaine sometimes do call us if she's not busy or we have time, we do group calls but I feel hurt whenever Evance step backwards.

"Congratulations for surviving the finals! I'm proud of you guys!" Xaylaine said when we call her for face time, we're all celebrating the end of finals. She's doing something but still talk to us, Evance is just there seating listening to us.

"Yes! It's exhausting but worth it" sabi ni Ash tumango naman si Xaylaine sa'min "Anyway, when would you visit us here?" asar ni Charm, tumawa lang si Xaylaine "Not now or next year, I still need to do some things here. But I do miss you all!" she said.

"We miss you too..." we said and she smiled at us, we just tell her some stories and laugh with us. I pity Evance for just seating there and stoping himself from talking because he's thinking about Xaylaine.

Because he said if he speak and Xaylaine heard him, she might be upset and end the call because of him. So, he said he can make a way for her to still connect with us. Mas okay na daw na siya ang wala kesa naman si Xaylaine, I pity them so much, they deserve each other but destiny aren't with them now.
