EXPECTING TWENTY-SEVEN

I LIVE my life again, mas naging challenging sa'kin ang fourth year dahil wala si Kenchie sa tabi ko, wala akong makakasama pero kaya ko naman ito. Back to normal din kaming lahat, and lahat kami ay maayos at pinipiling maging maayos.

"Girls!" sigaw ni Ashantie ng makita niya kami, lumapit agad siya sa'min. "Why are you with him?" takang tanong ni Zharina at tinuro si Ashton sa likod ni Ashantie, nilingon din siya ni Ashantie.

Mas lalo silang napasinghap ng kumapit si Ashantie sa braso ni Ashton. "Girls, meet my one and only brother. And let me formally introduce him to all of you, my brother Ashton Carl Mendez-Bautista" sabi ni Ashantie at lahat sila ay gulat.

"What?" gulat na tanong ni Xayrille, nilingon nila ako na parang nagtatanong kung alam ko na ba dahil hindi man lang ako nagulat. "I already know" sabi ko, mas lalo silang nagulat. "Kaya pala hindi ka nag selos nung kasama siya ni Ash sa IG story niya nung nakaraan! Akala pa naman namin date nila!" sabi ni Chloeh.

Natawa naman ako sa kanila "It was a sibling date! Ship ko nga sila ni Finley!" sabi ni Ashantie, inilingan ko na lang sila. Umupo na si Ashantie at ako naman ang tumayo at binitbit ang gamit ko.

"Let's go, love" Ashton said and I stop myself from laughing hard when I saw my friends reaction! I didn't tell them that I and Ashton are in a relationship. "Love?!" gulat na sagot nila, Ashton get my things, and held my hand.

"My boyfriend, Ashton" I said and they are still shocked, natawa ako sa reaksyon nila. "Oh my gosh! We're so happy for you!" sabi ni Charm, I smiled at them. "So? Where are you guys going? Date?" tanong ni Sapphire.

"Nah, Mom and Dad schedule a lunch with us, and I'm taking my girlfriend there" sabi ni Ashton, I smiled it's so good hearing the word "girlfriend" from him and he's pertaining to me. "Your not coming with us?" tanong ni Ashton sa kapatid, umiling si Ashantie.

"Nah, I'm staying here Kuya. Sige na, Dad and Mom are waiting" sabi ni Ashantie, tumango naman si Ashantie. Nagpaalam na kami sa kanila, naka park doon ang kotse ni Ashton. Sumakay na ako at ganun din siya, he's smiling.

"What?" tanong ko, he look at me and then smiled again "Nothing, the feeling was just feel so surreal. You know? Ashantie as my younger sister and her parents as my parents too. I don't feel this kind of contentment and happiness before" he said.

I held his hand and smiled at him "You deserve them, love. No wonder you and Ashantie have similarities before" sabi ko, tumango naman siya. Pinaandar na niya ang kotse niya, he already introduce me to his parents personally.

Pinakilala ko din siya kay Mommy at Papa as my boyfriend and also tell it to Francho, and I also tell this news to Kenchie through phone call. Ang girls lang talaga ang hindi nakaka alam maliban kay Ashantie dahil gusto ko makita reaction nila.

"They're already here" sabi ni Ashton ng makapag park siya ng kotse sa may tapat ng restaurant, mula sa kotse ay kita ko na ang parents niya. Bumaba na kami at dumiretso sa loob, Ashton guided me towards his parents table.

"Sorry we're late" Ashton said, his Mom stood up and greet us. "No, we just arrived a minute earlier" sabi ni Tita, bineso niya si Ashton pati na rin ako. Bineso naman ako ni Tito at tinuro ang upuan sa harap nila. Ashton pulled a chair for me, we sat down "Do you still have class, iha?" tanong ni Tito.

"Yes po, after lunch po" sagot ko, Tita nodded and held my hands. "I brought something for you, sweetie" she said and get something on her expensive hand bag. "It will look good on you" she said and open the box she's holding.
