Chapter 22

"Y-You?" I choked out. He is J after all. 

"Meg." He whispered. He looked like he was surprised and confused. I'm pretty sure he wasn't expecting me to see him.

"You're J?"

I saw him swallow. And once again, I have no clue on what to feel. I have mix emotions boiling inside of me. Happy. Surprised. Nervous. Disbelief. Confusion.

"Jess?"

"Meg, I-"

"Hey, girlfriend!" Abby cut him off as she came behind me. "What's up?" Abby must have noticed my torn expression and turned to look at Jess. She instantly realized what was happening.

"Oh. My. Gosh." She exclaimed. "You're the infamous J? I knew it was you, Jess!" She turned to me. "You finally caught him, huh?"

"Uhm, I..."

"I should probably leave you two alone, right?" Abby cut me off and laughed. "I'll see you later girlfriend. And just to remind you, I'm number 1 on your speed dial." She winked at me before leaving.

I laughed once and shook my head before turning to Jess. "Jess, I...it's, it's really you, huh? Why?"

Jess smiled sheepishly and scratched the back of his head. "I told you that I like you, right? It's one of the ways to show you that."

I bit my lower lip and smiled. "Creative. Very creative."

He chuckled. "Can I take you home?"

"Okay."

"So that's it?" Abby raised an eyebrow at me. "He just took you home?"

I nodded and fell flat on my bed. "Yeah. I didn't know what to say to him."

"But you're happy and relieved, right? You finally know who your J is."
