"Honey?" My mom's worried voice made my body jump in surprise. She is standing in front of me in her robe with a frown on her face. I'm leaning on our door and breathing heavily. "Are you okay?"

I quickly plastered a smile on my face and nodded. "Yeah, yeah. Just, uhm, uh, okay. I'm okay. Night, mom. Talk to you tomorrow. Bye!" I hurried past her without explaining why I was still up and looked like I just came in when I should have been in my room studying or something.

Once inside my room, I peeked outside my window to see if Josh's car is still on our driveway. Thankfully, it's already gone. I walked towards my bed and crashed into it replaying the night. How did this night start with sneaking inside the school and end with Josh kissing me? And why exactly did he kiss me? I groaned into my pillow and bit the insides of my cheek. Does that mean that he likes me? Maybe. Did I like the kiss? Well... Did I hate it? Not exactly... Do I like him? Uhhhh...

I groaned again. Should I call Abby and tell her about it? But what exactly do I tell her? That Josh kissed me and the second he broke the kiss I ran like my butt is on fire inside my house?

I was still contemplating whether I should call Abby or not when my my phone vibrated in my pocket, startling me. It's a message, from Josh.

You okay? I'm sorry I surprised you. But I'm not sorry I kissed you. I know I shouldn't have done that, but, I couldn't help it. I really like you a lot, you know. Are you mad at me?

I sucked a lungful of air before typing a reply. So Josh really likes me.

I'm not exactly mad. Surprised, yes. But mad, no.

I got his reply thirty seconds later.
