My steps felt heavy as we approached the teleportation gate, the weight of the beast core resting inside my spatial ring seeming to slow me down. Despite the anticipation of seeing our families after being gone for so many days, there was a somber mood amongst us.

The experience had been transformative, to say the least. From tackling an E-rank dungeon to being thrown into an A-rank one, and then being teleported by a powerful being and forced to fight against SS-class beasts, we had been pushed to our limits and beyond.

It was during this ordeal that I had come to the realisation of just how weak I truly was. Even Kathlyn, who had awakened her mana core two years after me, had been able to defeat the beast, while I couldn't. I had lost.

I had lost to the beast and received the beast core containing its will despite not deserving it. My body was rejecting it, not willing to accept such kindness. The thought weighed heavily on my mind as we approached the gate, knowing that there was much work to be done in order to become stronger.

As I gazed upon Gary's unimpressed expression, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at his abilities. All of us had faced formidable SS-class beasts, each with varying degrees of strength, but Gary had encountered an opponent that was in a league of its own.

An impenetrable wall of power that surpassed even the Lances. Gary had lost to it despite showing all of his cards and this got the rest of us questioning why he had been granted such special treatment.

Was it solely because of his unparalleled strength? While he was undoubtedly the strongest among us, Alistair, Lancelot, Rachel, and Arthur had also effortlessly dispatched their own SS-class beasts. So why was Gary chosen for this extraordinary task?

I couldn't help but notice the mysterious power that Alistair, Arthur, and Gary were wielding. They seemed to have knowledge about this "aether" but were avoiding the questions I had about it. Regardless, I knew that I had to focus on my own growth.

As I stared at the SS-class beast core in my possession, I felt the weight of its power. If I could absorb the mana within it, I could break through to the initial silver stage, or perhaps even reach the mid silver stage if I combined it with other cores and the upcoming Aurora Constellate.

However, the true potential of this core was its beast will. If I could assimilate and master it, I could reach unprecedented levels of strength. I was determined to not be deterred by my defeat, and instead, use it as motivation to push myself harder for the future.

As for the mystery surrounding the aether, I knew that it was a path that I would have to explore eventually. But for now, I needed to focus on my own journey towards becoming stronger.

Gary brought us to a sudden halt with a serious expression on his face. "Wait," he said, holding up a hand. "There's something I have to do first. I'm sorry about this." He closed his eyes, and a white aura began to surround his fingertips.

Before I knew it, Gary's finger was pressing gently against my forehead, and I felt a strange sensation wash over me. My vision blurred, and my consciousness began to slip away.

I contemplated my options, realizing that there was no other choice. The knowledge of aether had to be protected at all costs. As I weighed my options, my mind raced with different possibilities on how to prevent the information from leaking out.

With my S-rank skill, Memory Manipulation, I knew I could only use it on those who were incapacitated. So, without hesitation, I stopped time before Alistair and Arthur could react and swiftly used my aether to wipe their memories of the incident, as well as any mention Alexis made of aether.

I repeated the process on the others, using my skills to ensure their memories of the event were completely erased. With my task complete, I woke everyone up.

Since their memories were wiped, it was as if nothing had happened. We continued our journey home, confident that the knowledge of aether was safe from being exposed.

I gazed at the aether particles in my palm with awe, remarking aloud, "So, this is aether."

Agrona interjected, "Indeed. Although using mana can elevate your power to my level, or duke rank, it's impossible to break through to prince rank without utilising aether."

I nodded in agreement, fully aware of my current limitations. My abilities had progressed to that of viscount rank, but my ultimate goal of reclaiming my former king rank still remained out of reach.

"As I was saying," Agrona continued, "If we were to summon a Demon Prince from your previous universe, he could easily defeat all the asuras together."

I concurred, "Without a doubt. Kezess wouldn't stand a chance against such a powerful entity."

"Summoning the Demon Prince's body, not just his soul, is the key," I said, trying to steer the conversation back on track. "Unfortunately, the current summoning method won't suffice."

Agrona's face fell, but he quickly recovered and asked, "How do you suggest we do it?"

"We'll need to use spatium to create a wormhole," I explained, "But that won't be enough. We'll also need to harness the power of Fate. It won't be easy, and it will take us years to figure it out."

Agrona nodded, his antlers glowing with power. "I've waited for centuries for this moment," he said, raising his glass in a toast. "I can wait a few more years. For the glory of the Vritras!"

I felt a sense of camaraderie with my newfound ally as we discussed our plans for achieving our individual goals. We knew that we would need to use each other's strengths as much as possible to succeed.

As long as he wasn't here, everything would work out like intended.

[A/N: Remember to vote if you guys like this chapter! It helps me in gauging the quality of my writing! A shorter epilogue chapter than planned, but I wanted to save some stuff for the prologue. The next volume will be starting in May, with the prologue of the fourth volume dropping on 6th of May. We have passed 3.5k reads and 380 votes, I was planning on passing 400 votes with the conclusion of this volume but I removed a couple of chapters so I am now aiming for 390 votes before the fourth volume begins.]
