You were about to just turn off your alarm and go back to sleep until you remembered why it was ringing in the first place.

"Shit!" you shouted and literally jumped up.

You quickly grabbed your cell phone and read the time.

You could breathe a sigh of relief, you had only slept five minutes longer than planned.

After your heart calmed from the shock you went to the bathroom, showered and went through your morning routine.

You changed into something you could move in but that still looked a little more formal and headed downstairs.

You made your breakfast in peace and sat down on the couch in the living room.

When you were done, you put the used dishes in the sink before making your way to the guest room.

You had already noticed that the door was open a crack when you walked past the hallway with your breakfast in your hand, but you didn't bother to check yet.

It could only have been Chrollo.

Speaking of which, where was he?

You were expecting to see him as he seemed very keen on encounters the past few days.

It was rather weird that he hasn't let himself be seen today.

The guest room bedding was slightly wrinkled and one of the pillows was dented.

Had Chrollo slept in the guest room?

Do ghosts even sleep?

With a glance at the clock you realized that you hardly had time to even look for Chrollo to ask him so you just saved the two questions for a later moment.

One last time you went through all the things you could possibly need.

A water bottle, a snack, some money, your car and front door keys and of course your cell phone in case there was an emergency or you wanted to kill some time during a break.

Today you would try the work so that you and your employer were sure that you would survive a normal working day as well.

When you got to the supermarket about half an hour later, you went through to the office.

The e-mail that was sent to you said that you should go there and your, hopefully future, boss would be waiting for you in his office.

You were warmly welcomed by him and for about fourty minutes he 'interviewed' you and explained how your day in his store would be like today and what your future tasks would be if you did well and wanted to start here.

He explained that for today, and for the foreseeable future, you would have something like a guardian who would help you arrive and stand by you if you had any questions or needed anything.

When he was done explaining and telling you about everything he told you to wait a moment before he left the office and came back in a little later with another person.

You stood up and shook hands with the man in front of you.

,,This is Hisoka, he will be your guardian. He really is one of my best employees and will certainly run the shop here one day." With a laugh, your boss patted Hisoka on the shoulder, who, quite unimpressed, continued to shake your hand lightly.

It was probably 7-10 seconds in which you did that and slowly you felt weird that Hisoka didn't give any hints to let go of your hand, so you just pulled yours to you and almost pressed it against you.

The rest of your first 'day at work' with Hisoka was also...weird.

You were relieved when the boss pulled you aside in the early afternoon as your try work day would be over soon.

In the office, you both signed your employment contract before he sent you your way.

On the way home you had mixed feelings and the relatively melancholic music playing on the radio didn't make it any better.

Sure, you were incredibly lucky to finally find a job.

From now on you could afford more things, maybe even go away if you wanted to, even if it wasn't necessarily your dream job, but you could still sort it all out if you had saved some money.

On the other hand, you almost hated going back to work tomorrow, mostly because of Hisoka.

From time to time it was almost boring just putting things on the shelves but that didn't bother you, you minded Hisoka sticking to your neck the whole time.

You understood that it was his job to look after you but you were only clearing a few items and half-full shelves, what was there to go wrong?

Also, the fact that he talked to you the whole time was more than just annoying, it was making you want to tear your hair out.

Again and again he asked questions that were too personal for your taste, he wanted to know things about you that just shouldn't concern him as a colleague.

He asked what school you went to, why you moved here.

Those were questions you still understood.

The town was small, away from larger centers or cities and you understood that a completely new person could be of interest to many.

But why did he want to know if your parents were still married?

If you are dating someone, where you live and if you played cards?

What did he get from this information and how did it relate to your job?

You had trouble getting rid of the redhead when he insisted on accompanying you after work.

You quickly babbled some half-hearted apology and quickly got into your car and drove away.

Normally you would have asked if you could drop him off somewhere since you didn't know if he had a car or not, but you couldn't wait to get away from him any longer.

What annoys you the most about him, however, is that he ignores you when you point out that you were here to work and learn not to talk face-to-face about anything.

You weren't sure if he was being stupid or just plain stubborn that he didn't seem to understand that you had absolutely no interest in his personal life and had no interest in sharing yours with him.
