Third person POV:

"Oh great it's prince pouty." June muttered. "Where's your creepy grandpa?"

"He's my uncle. And he's not here."

"I see you've work things out with your girlfriend." June referred to Saori. "If it weren't for you I would've lifted her off her feet a long time ago. So what do you want?"

"I need your help finding the Avatar."

"Hmm. Doesn't sound too fun."

"Does the end of the world sound like more fun?!"

Time skip

"I mean he's GONE gone. He doesn't exist." June announced.

"What do you mean Aang doesn't exist?" Sokka asked. "Do you mean he's you know, dead?"

"Nope. We could find him if he were dead. Wow it's a real head scratcher. See ya."

"Helpful. Real helpful." Toph commented.

"Wait. Perhaps there is one more person who might be able to help us." Saori walked back to Appa and climbed onto his saddle.

Time skip

"We're surrounded by old people." Toph commented.

"They're not just old people." Saori bowed to the masters.

"These are old masters and friends of ours!" Katara bowed to Pakku.

"It is respectful to bow to an old master but how about a hug? For your new grandfather?"

"That's so exciting!" Katara gasped as she hugged the man.

Saori saw movement in the corner of her vision as she vanished.

Saori's POV:

I found myself in complete darkness. Even with my visual powers, I couldn't see anything. I cast a spell as a small orb appeared in my palm. Lighting the nearby surroundings.

There were roots of trees with a door fixed into them. It looked something out of a fairytale. There wasn't another living being except me so I went in.

"So much for trespassing." I kicked the door down only to find.....

Blood.

The floor was drenched in red liquid. Smeared on the wall, splattered on the ceiling and soaked into the furniture. Everywhere I looked I saw the half rotten and dried blood.

Covering my nose with my hand. I went inside.

There were no bodies inside. Just blood. The scenery was a bit too much but I push through.

I opened a drawer to see a photo of my family with everyone's head scribbled on except for mine.

"What the fuck..."

I sent the picture through a portal which lead to Wan Shi. I found photos of other families with the same situation.

I went into another room and was greeted by a man. "Hello dear."

Taken aback, I pulled out my katana.

"Sit."

My body moved on its own as my hands let go of the blade and sat down on a stool nearby.

"I don't have much time but here." He pulled out a heavily wrapped box and kept it infront of me. "All I can tell you is that.."

Third person POV:

Saori appeared next to Zuko as he slightly jumped. "He's in there isn't he?"

The firebender nodded. "He hates me."

She sat down infront of him as he ranted. The girl quietly listened to everything he said as she tried to encourage him to talk to Iroh. Zuko opened his mouth to say something but stopped midway. He mumbled a small thanks in the end.

She placed a small fire lily in his hair as she walked away. Zuko going into Iroh's tent behind her back.

Time skip

The box muffled the thumping for inside as Saori watched it with a rare emotion of confusion.

Though she did not show it. Panic and fear was embedded in her hearts.

Akibimi had not visited as Saori needed some way to cool her head down. She paced around the box as she mumbled spells out.

Zuko walked away from the gang and Iroh and approached the girl. "Saori? What's that?"

Saori looked at the box as she pointed at it. On her command, the box vanished as she tried to hurry away from him.

Zuko jogged behind her as he stopped her from running away. "What's wrong?"

"It's nothing."

"Your lying."

"Yes I am. Now leave."

"Saori I want to talk to you about something."

"What?"

"Listen. I have to fight Azula so that I could restore peace in the fire nation. But, I don't know if I'll be back.."

Saori stayed silent.

"What I want to say is.. I don't know if I'll be able to get time to tell you this again."

The sorcerer looked around as she tried to avoid speaking.

"I love you Saori. Ever since the time uncle tricked us into going on a date in Ba Sing Se. I have and I always will."

The girl looked down at her feet. "Why me?"

"Because you make me feel like there isn't a single worry in my life. You made me feel happy, safe and wanted. Even after I broke your trust you still were with me. You accepted both my faults and myself. Saori, you make me feel a way I have never felt before, and.. I don't want this feeling to go away."

"I-" Saori's voice broke. "I can't."

"Why not?"

"Trust me Zuko. I want to but.. I can't. The comet is around the corner and our destiny is here. I don't know if we'll be able to see each other again. Now, it's all up to our destinies."

Zuko looked at Saori with eyes filled with pain. The sorcerer stepped forward as she pressed her lips against his. Zuko wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her closer as a single tear rolled down her cheek.

Her body flickered as she disappeared.

The fire lily fell from Zuko's hair and into his palm, crumpled and ripped.
