Chapter 2: The Cave of two lovers

Third person POV:

"As I was saying, more harmful spirits are escaping the spirit world and targeting specific humans. So I will need to leave soon." Saori explained as Sokka frowned at the nomads.

"So you're going to leave me with these idiots ALONE?" Sokka gasped.

".....sorry, I guess?"

Saori didn't pay attention to what was happening when the nomads burst into a song.

"Two lovers, forbidden from one another, a war dividing their people, and a mountains divides them apart." The nomad sang.

"Oh Kami.." Saori groaned.

"I forgot the next few lines but then it goes.. SECRET TUNNEL! SECRET TUNNEL! THROUGH THE MOUNTAINS SECRET SECRET SECRET SECRET TUNNEL!"

Aang and Katara smiled as Saori and Sokka huffed in annoyance.

"I think we'll just stick with flying." Sokka spoke as Saori nodded. "We've dealt with the fire nation before, we'll be fine."

"Yea, thanks for the help but Appa hates going underground, and we need to do what makes Appa most comfortable." Aang gave a cheeky smile.

Time skip

"Secret love cave let's go." Sokka pointed as the beat up Katara and Aang followed behind with a perfect conditioned Saori.

"What have I gotten myself into.."

Zuko's POV:

I threw the bush into the trees but it hit something, I was about to apologise when a creature jumped out towards me.

I back away as uncle sent a blast of fire at it.

The creature let out a wail and attacked Uncle. It was aiming for his neck when a dagger flew towards it and hit it in its arm.

A loud roar came from its mouth as a girl jumped out and harshly hit it's head with her katana.

"Good afternoon." Saori pulled off her hat. "Are you okay?" She turned to uncle.

"Completely fine."

"Liar." She turned to the creature lying on the ground. "I guess I will have to stay with you for some time.."

"What? No you don't." I said.

"I do. This spirit has a sibling, seems like both of them have targeted you two."

"Targeted?" Uncle scratched his back.

"They want to kill you." She kicked the spirit's face as it jerked awake. "Good morning sweetie, did you have a good nap?"

Third person POV:

The spirit jumped at Saori who dodged it's claws and sent out shadow like snakes. They wrapped around and bit the spirit as it wobbled and crumbled to dust.

"Good night."

Turning back to the two firebenders, she spoke. "Let's get going."

"But where are we going to go?" Iroh turned to the teenagers. "We are enemies of the earth kingdom and fugitives from the fire nation."

"If the Earth Kingdom discovers us, they'll have us killed."

"But if the fire nation discovers us, we'll be turned over to Azula."
