Chapter 3: Spirits and Kyoshi Island

Third person POV:

The damp mud squished underneath the girl's weight as she looked around for a more stable landscape to teleport from. Seeing a clearing in the distance Saori increased her speed, humming the melody her sister used to sing.

A portal opened indicating that the spirits have arrived, she sucked in a deep breath before walking into the portal

"Wan Shi." Saori bowed to the massive owl in front of her.

"Saori, I am honoured to meet you. Rass has been talking highly about your achievements." The owl spoke.

A chill ran down Saori's spine as another spirit arrived.

"Koh." The human turned, her face devoid of any emotion.

"You're late" Wan Shi Tong said.

"My apologies, I almost forgot about the meeting." Koh smiled and his face went closer to the girl's.

After all the spirits had gathered, Wan Shi Tong finally spoke "Saori, we spirits aren't used to interfering human activities but times have changed, do you perhaps know the spirits of Hizashi?"

"Y-yes.." the girl answered, slightly shivering at the mere thought of the evil spirit.

"I have a feeling that the fire lord has gained access to the ghosts, though you are still young, I am sure that you are going to be the one to face them."

"No no no." The girl made a 'X' with her arms. "I may be the strongest human but it is THE spirits of Hizashi we are going against here."

"I know you are afraid, young one. There is still time. You have a bit more that a year until you face him." The owl spoke, its voice grim.

"But-"

"I will give you books that shall help you with your sorcery, remember, a little more than a year."

"Also don't forget that Sozin's comet will probably be present during your battle as well." Koh smirked adding fuel to the fire.

Time skip

The girl whispered out a spell as a portal opened at her feet, dropping in, Saori landed on a flying bison's saddle.

"Your back!" Aang smiled at the raven haired girl as she just hummed in response.

"Where are we going?" Saori questioned as she opened her map.

"Kyoshi Island."

Time skip

Katara's POV:

Saori seem distracted ever since she had returned from the spirit world.

I looked over her shoulder and tried to read the opened book in her hand. It looked like gibberish. It was probably a different language but nevertheless useless for me.

She said something under her breath as a portal opened at her side.

Third person POV:

Reaching in Saori pulled out a worn out book with the same writings as the book she was reading before.

"小使者，來吧，你的主人希望你的幫助。"
(Come little messenger, Your master wishes for your help.)

A small fluffy creature appeared in front of her. It squeaked and rested on her shoulder, she quickly wrote something on a piece of paper and tied it to the creature's foot. Flapping its wings it levitated in mid-air for a second and flew away.
