To call yesterday 'eventful' would be an understatement. A crazy ride of emotional rollercoasters were ridden from morning until midnight. By the time you and Amber had finally returned to the village it was already the crack of dawn. When you got into an inn, the two of you were knocked out the moment you reached the bed.

It even took you until late afternoon to actually wake up. Amber, although already fully rested, wasn't fully back to herself again. As you had brunch she barely spoke a word. But you didn't try to press her for what she doesn't feel like doing. Every time you'd meet eyes you'd just smile. You talk to her like normal. And wherever she felt like going you'd follow her.

To take her mind off of things, a little walk seemed like a good idea. You never fully appreciated it yesterday, but Qingce village had a beautiful scenery. You and Amber did a little sightseeing around the relatively small village. Walking by right beside her, she held on to your hand and never let go.

As you walked back to the village through the stone paths. The children were making an excited ruckus as they all seemed to gather around someone. Curious, you and Amber went over to see what it was.

A merchant from Liyue, he seemed to frequent the village. Selling toys and games for the children, and tea sets and oils for the elderly. Currently the latest fad seemed to be a bunch of handmade kites. Decorated and shaped into different things that were surely attracted the kids. A few parents were being begged by the children to buy them somethings.

"... Dad... Can I have one?" A shy child looked at the ground nervously to her mom.,

"Mother, pleaassseee..." A less bashful child tugged on her mother's skirt. "I'll be good after this, I promiseee."

Their mother sighed. "Ah you say that all the time! Goodness, you children and your toys."

"Fufu, well they have been looking forward to this." Another mom laughed.

"Let children be merry. That is one of the only things they can, and should do." A grandpa chuckled.

You couldn't help but smile at the energetic enthusiastic little ones. But your attention was suddenly taken by Amber who had nugged your arm. You looked over to see what she wanted.

" Hey (Y/N)." A quiet smile on her face. "... I want one too."

Oh she wants.... A child?!

Your face suddenly flush red as you turned back to her in a double take. She looked quizzically at you, placing a hand on her shoulder you bit your lip trying to reason with her.

"O-oh, you know. I mean, it's not like we don't do it sometimes. But a kid, that's a lot of responsibility. There's also a lot of things to think about like mora, hou-"

Amber's face went to a panic as she turned as red as her outfit. She slapped your arm in a daze. "No you idiot! What are you saying?! I meant a kite! A kite!"

"Ohh is that so? In that case, sure, l-let me go buy one. " The two of you looked away from each other in embarrassment. You wanted to punch yourself for being stupid.

"Fufu, ah youth how cute." A few of the people around overheard everything and couldn't help but laugh.

With a face like a Jueyun Chili, you made a beeline to the toy merchant and bought a red kite with yellow outlines.

You follow the children as they all excitedly take their newly bought kites out to the fields. Amber held on to the string of the kite as she walked ahead of you. As the kids began running around to get the wind to pick up the toys. Amber looked back at yoy softly, nodding to her as you let her run too.
