On April 1st 2019, the world was destroyed in a catastrophic world wide event. Ironically, the only survivors were the very same people that caused it in the first place..

June 10th, 1960.

(Y/n) landed with a harsh hit on the cold and wet ground. Her head collided with it and she groaned in pain. She heard the vortex crackling but she heard screaming. She looked up to see a black shadow with red eyes being sucked back up into it. It looked like she was fading.

"Astaroth!" (Y/n) shouted.

She stood up and panicked as to what to do. She caoilfnt lose her too.

"It's okay!" She called back, "you can do this! I'll always be with you. Whether you want me to be or not."

Her words made (Y/n) teary eyed. She was still trying to find a way to get her down with her. "No! No! You're coming with me!"

"Remember, you'll always be my favourite human."

With that, the screams ended and the black shadow was gone. (Y/n) felt like a part of her was missing. Her mind seemed strangely empty. Lifeless.

Rain water drained out her tears but she was still crying. She lost everyone. No one was here with her. Still, she called out. "Diego? Five? Klaus?"

No one answered. Not even when she ran out into the street and called around. She didn't even know where she was. It was cold, and rainy. She saw someone walking past and went up to them. "Where am I?"

The man gave her a puzzled look and kept walking. A little faster now.

When she looked closer, she realized everything looked vintage. She started breathing faster, her tears becoming worryful instead of sadness. Where was she? Where was Astaroth? She needed to do something. She ripped a flyer off a pile and read it even though it was soggy from rain.

What she read made her gasp aloud. It made her heart stop. It made her sick.

There, in smudged ink, read;

After a few days of getting used to her new surroundings, the loneness was starting to claw at her. She needed to see a familiar face. Just one. Something to show her she wasn't alone in this world. She knew deep down she would never see her siblings again, but she still tried to convince herself to have hope.

She has been surviving off of very black coffee for the past three days. She doesn't have money to get anything else, and the guy who owns the cafe feels sorry for her, so he gives her free coffee when he's working. When he's not, she tries her luck, but normally comes up unsuccessful.

As for sleeping and living, she turns invisible and occupies vacant hotel rooms. When they get guests who need to use them, she simply moves to a different room. She doesn't have any stuff anyway.

Number Eight was currently on her way back to the hotel, and was walking quite fast as it was raining and it was dark. She got caught up in helping out at the community garden that she lost track of time. She likes it better that way. She needs anything to distract her from her true feelings. This consists of nothing but wonder, loneliness, and emptiness. It hurts.

As she turned the corner, she was met with the flashing blue and red lights of a cop car. It was parked lazily in front of the library. As she neared, she heard the stern orders of a cop telling someone to get on the ground. She felt the adrenaline rush of sneaking up on someone as she turned invisible and approached.
