Chapter 3 – Reunited

Giselle felt her chest tighten as she ran out of the room and onto the campus. The cold wind caused every hair on her body to stand. Warm tears fell from her eyes, possibly the only warmth she allowed her body to give her. Not for a moment did she think about using her powers, the powers that she had inherited from her father. She didn’t want to remember him.

And, as she ran across campus all she desperately wanted to do was forget him. Forget all the pain, all the drain of emotions that she had just felt. She had no idea what she was running from or where she was going. All she really wanted was for the pain to go away. She wanted all the emotions to fade. Sadness, betrayal, anger, all this negativitiy circled her mind, causing a rush of warm tears to over power her eye sight and spill onto her face.

She panted as her feet squished through the grass, the wind threw her hair back as it passed through every strand. Isaac watched in the distance, his back leaning against a wall. For a moment he thought about chasing after her, but he knew deep down that this was a moment she needed to be alone. He stood where he was, basking in the cold air that circled him, not moving but hoping that Giselle was okay.

He thought of Nicholas Riley and wondered exactly when the moment would be right. Exactly when should he approach him about dating Giselle? He was sure that now wasn’t the right time but he knew he had to do it soon.

Deep down he didn’t want to wait any longer.

Giselle didn’t seem to be aware of Isaac watching her. Her body pushed her to run faster, she had to get away. The tree’s passed next to her looking like blurs of brown, reds, and greens. She panted, her breath coming out harder and harder.

Finally she reached her destination, the sleeping wing for females. She walked slowly inside, the thoughts of her father over powering her mind. She sighed to herself.

Why did he have to even show up?

Giselle walked through the empty halls wiping away the dried tears on her face. She hoped this agonizing feeling in her chest would go away. For a moment she thought she was being selfish. Shouldn’t she be happy that her father was now in her life and showed up?

No. She thought. He should have never left.

She walked up to her dorm room with a heavy heart. It was almost as if she could feel the pain circling inside of her almost causing her to explode. She turned the nob of her room only to walk in and see the most disturbing thing known to her extistence.

Instantly she screamed and covered her eyes, hoping that both Nathan and Jasmine would notice her presence and completely stop what they were doing. Images of Nathan and Jasmine naked together burned the inside of Giselle’s skull. She remained standing, covering her eyes and holding in an awkward laugh. She felt her lungs pushing a giggle out of her. As awkward as it may be, it’s not everyday that you catch your best friend having sex with her boyfriend.
