"What are you doing, Meg?" Abby grabbed my hand and pulled me beside her. "Stop hiding behind my back!"

"B-But I don't feel so confident." I muttered.

"You look great. Come on! We're almost at the gym."

"Abby's right, Meg." Blake agreed.

I smiled at him in thanks and sighed. "Thanks. You'll dance with me if ever no one danced with me, right?"

He laughed and winked at me. "I'm pretty sure that's not gonna be one of your problems tonight. Especially with how good you look."

"And don't forget J." Abby added. "Remember? I'm pretty sure he'll dance with you. And there's also my brother who told you to save him a dance. And speaking of my brother, I wonder where on earth he is."

"I'm sure he went to pick up his date." I said glancing around.

Abby rolled her eyes. "I don't even know who his date is. Anyway, we'll see her when we get inside. So come on, Meg. Stop hiding there. You're ruining the dress." She tugged me forward I almost tripped on my dress.

"Alright, alright!" I said and sighed. "let's get this over with."

As we entered the gym, we were greeted by David Guetta and Sia's Titanium. And I've got to give it to the Masquerade Ball committee. They did a great job in transforming the gym. A huge disco ball is hanging at the center of the room. Tiny and big stars are hanging around the ceiling. Balloons are floating, and there's this small fountain at one side of the room. Everything around is sparkling. And not only that. I think they also did a great job on the food since everyone seems to really enjoy them. Although I can't seem to recognize anybody in this crowd except for Abby and Blake because of all the mask.

"This place looks awesome!" Abby commented.

"Yeah." I agree. "Who would think that this is actually a sweat-filled gym?"

"Well, thanks for reminding me, best friend." She said. Blake and I laughed at her.

"I'm gonna get you two something to drink, okay?" Blake said and blended with the crowd.

"So, where's your mysterious date? Did he say any secret meet-up time and place?" She asked as she looked around.

I shook my head. "No. I don't even know if he's really coming or what."
