Chapter 26

Lorcan’s Pov

I murmured countless of cuss when the bullet pierced on my flesh. But of course, I don't want  Perkin nor my son to know that I am wounded because they'll just get worried. I winced when my fresh warm blood flowed like a stream. D*mn it!  They're really scared right now and were trembling. Perkin is trembling. Daniel is just listening to the rain of bullets like music. He grows up hearing bangs of bullets and even bombs that's why he is not afraid. Hindi lang niya alam na delikado na ang sitwasyon dahil marami pala nasa loob ng sasakyan na nakasunod sa amin. I am thankful that Rap came on time.

I glanced at Perkin and my son who is at the back. In a fleeting moment my eyes and Perkin's eyes meet. I clinched my jaw when I saw his eyes. Mixed of emotions filled on his eyes. Fear. Worry. He is restless. His eyes moved down and settled on my shoulder.

"L-lorcan," he stammered. I almost lift my hand on the stearing wheel when I saw him slowly closed his eyes.

What the f*ck happened? Natamaan ba siya ng baril? Darn! My car is bullet proof that's why it's impossible to happen.

"PERKIN! CLAYTON!" he just opened his mouth, but no words come out. Hindi ako nagdalawang isip na ihinto ang sasakyan sa gitna ng daan. 

I don't mind my wound at all it's just a bruised compared to what I got before. For now, all I care and think is Clayton who lost his consciousness.

I moved at the back.

"D-daddy, what's happening to papa? Why is he sleeping? Did he got scared and sleep?" Daniel asked but I don't respond instead I lifted him. Pinaupo ko siya ng maayos dahil nadadaganan na siya ni Clayton. Right after, I check Clayton's body and to my surprise wala naman siyang tama ng baril kahit na isa. I moved him and made him rest on my arms.

"Dad, you're bleeding so much."

I stared at my son who is sitting and remained calm. That's my son.

I turned at Raphael who opened the car. "Lorcan, what happened? Why did . . ..” he stop on midair when he saw Clayton on my arms unconcious. "Dang! Natamaan siya?"

"Nope, he just lost his consciousness a while ago please get a medic." I want to scream at Raphael when he did not move. Grabeng pagpipigil ko na nga rito na wag magwala dahil nandito ang anak ko.

Raphael just looks stunned at me. D*mn!

"Rap move now and get the medic.right.now!" Saka lang nakagalaw si Raphael.

"Get your *ss on the helicopter. Ako na ang magda-drive sa sasakyan mo pauwi." Sa wakas ay nakapagsalita na ito.

I nodded.

"Did you know who attacked us?" I asked him.

He sighed. "Let's just talked at home. You're bleeding. You're the one who needed a medic not that guy." He is pertaining to Clayton. From the very beginning Raphael really don't like Perkin. So do I but d*mn boy he got me bad. Hindi ako nangkomento pa kay Raphael at tinalikuran siya.

While we are on the air one of the paramedics is tending my wound, I asked him.

"How is he?" Tiningnan ko si Clayton na wala pa ring malay. Si Daniel naman ay hindi maialis ang mata sa Papa niya mula pa kanina. Nang dalhin si Clayton ng mga paramedic dito without my command or cue, Daniel immediately got off from the car and followed him.
