I padded down the stairs, entering the dining room to be met by dark faces.

Francis: Really, I wonder what a Hunter is doing here...

!

Did-did Arthur tell them?!

I turned towards the man in question, him wearing an irritated expression, though he remained silent.

Ludwig: You're being awfully calm about this, Arthur.

He let out a bated sigh, placing his palms flat out against the table.

Arthur: Of course I'm calm; if it's a horde then we can worry. One measly Hunter isn't enough to concern me, let alone all of us.

Feliciano: Ah, he has a point~

Alfred: I just wish I knew why he was here...

Arthur: No doubt so many of us gathered together gained some attention, yes? It was bound to happen.

His green eyes seemed dimmer than usual, face constrained by a scowl. I couldn't tell what he was truly upset about, the Hunter, or them asking questions.

With a sigh he stood, leaving the room without touching his food.

He must really be upset...

Despite not instructing him to do so he's kept my secret, which I'm beyond grateful for. I wish there was something I could do in return to thank him, though he'd probably see the gesture as needless and vexing.

Even so, I feel as though I've drawn closer to Arthur. What that truly meant I had no idea, but I did notice a faint warm feeling growing within my chest whenever I thought of him.
