Aiden hadn't slept in almost 3 days now. Just a quick nap here and there. With very visible dark circles surrounding his eyes, he pressed the last key on the keyboard to see if the program ran with no problems.

"Fucking finally." He whispered when he was sure it worked like it was supposed to. A cup of hot milk and honey was placed next to his laptop on the desk, followed by warm but short kisses on his temple. Arms wrapped around his shoulders from behind, a voice whispering in his ear, "Well done, my love. I'm proud of you. Drink that and head to bed. I'll take care of the rest." And then the figure disappeared into thin air. He didn't think much about it and tried to pick up the warm cup. Taking a sip, he noticed the strange taste. He looked down at it, the inside of it filled with blood. He panicked and threw the cup away, jumping up and causing the chair to fall backward. His breathing pattern was a mess, a million questions in his head and his hands covered with blood. His whole body was trembling. He shut his eyes, wishing for someone to come rescue him from this nightmare. When he opened his eyes mere seconds later, he wasn't there anymore. He was in a shared room with two other males; The hospital. 'Ah, another nightmare.' he thought to himself, wiped the sweat off his face using his sleeve, and looked around. Kurt wasn't in his bed. He knew he couldn't sleep anymore, so he put on his slippers to go have a walk in the yard. It was 3 AM.

As he was walking down the stairs quietly, he noticed a pair making out by the big window of the hall in the dim light of the moon. He had to pass them in order to enter the yard, so he decided to nonchalantly walk by them. Only when he got closer, in one look, he recognized the pair. One was Kurt and the other was the mystery girl. Some questions popped into his head, but he decided to just ignore them and continue his path, only to be met by the gaze of the lilac haired girl. She looked at him while making out with Kurt, and that made Aiden freeze on his spot. A few moments later, the girl opened her left arm toward Aiden, gesturing for him to get closer. When Aiden was a few inches away, Kurt pulled back and looked at him, but Aiden didn't have time to catch the expression on the older's face cos the girl had pulled him in and they were now kissing. It was slow but had a strange warmth to it. He didn't feel excited like he often did with boys, he was 100% gay after all, but it was calming or rather, distracting. After a few seconds, the girl pulled back, wiping the corner of her mouth with her thumb, looking at them both. Aiden was speechless. It was the strangest make-out session of his entire life. His roommate standing there like it was the most normal thing ever.

"I'm tired now. You guys can continue without me." Said the girl before walking away slowly at first, but then fastening her steps.

Aiden looked at Kurt with question marks written all over his face.

"What? You don't wanna make out now, do you?" Kurt teased with a smirk.

It was the first time Aiden was seeing the other like that. Almost as if he was happy.

The older continued: "It's her thing. Don't worry, it's not because you're a bad kisser."

Kurt went into the yard and sat by the fountain. Playing with the little stones by his feet. Aiden sat next to him.

"Another nightmare?"

His eyes widened at the question. "How do you know I have those?"

"It's hard not to notice all the whimpers and the restless tossing and turnings." Then gestured toward his soaked t-shirt. "And you sweat."

Aiden sighed. It was not like he could hide it. "Just a memory mixed with a terrible symbol of another memory."

Kurt hummed, looking at the fountain. "You know, I don't talk much but I have ears. You can talk to me whenever you want."

Aiden smiled and nodded. "Can I ask why you're here? You look very normal and sane to me."

"Same goes for you. What could a worldwide famous celebrity do in this place, having nightmares almost every night?" Kurt threw a stone in the water. "I have some fears. I... I was actually doing fine, but my younger siblings... they need me to be a 100% and when they put Lili here, I couldn't help but follow. Maybe we can both heal?" Kurt giggled sarcastically and looked to the opposite side.

"Lili?" Aiden asked.

"Yeah, the girl with the lilac hair. Lili."

"Oh, so that's her name! But, I mean, weren't you upset when she kissed me?"

Kurt laughed shortly, his face drowning in a sadness. "We're not really together, Aiden, so she can do what she wants. I don't own her."

"No Vincent, you can't feed dog food to birds. Why would you even wanna do that?"

"Well, what if that's all that's left to eat? What then? Are we supposed to just let them die?"

Lucas was ready to skin himself alive inch by inch because of all the irrelevant questions the blond boy kept asking him.

"They'll probably die either way. So why not let them die with a non-upset stomach?"

"pRoBably? Then you can't say for sure. Hmmmm..." Vincent hummed and moved his head, looking deep in thought.

Lucas facepalmed. "Come here, Aiden. The sooner I inject you with your goodies, the sooner I'm able to flee."

"OH MY GOD!" Vincent screamed, and everyone jumped out of their flesh. "What if the dogs went crazy from all the starvation and ate the birds? Oh my god, the poor birds!"

"Relax Vincent! Weren't there supposed to be lots of dog food in-store? So the dogs wouldn't even starve in the first place." Lucas answered him, trying to remain calm.

"Looking like you're having fun, Lucas." Edwin said with a wide smile on his face while entering the room.

"Yeah, I'm having the time of my life." The nurse rolled his eyes.

Edwin laughed. Aiden couldn't help but laugh as well.

"Brian will come to get you today. Try and have some fun while you're out, please?" Edwin said to Kurt.

"I will, Eddie. We're going to the arcade on Sunday. Wanna tag along?" A smiley Kurt answered.

"Really? Of course! The last time was when we all went together, I guess? Feels like a million years ago." He handed a piece of paper to Kurt. "Make sure to take the medics with you and don't lose that paper."

"I know, kiddo. Don't boss me around. I practically raised you!"

Edwin laughed some more. Today was a good day. The mood was bright.

"I wanna go to the arcade too..." said a whiny Vincent.

"Can't you bring him with you on that day? It'll be a few hours only." Kurt asked the doctor.

"I'll ask Chad." Edwin replied and looked at Aiden. "Want me to ask for your permission as well?"

"I can't go around as I wish, Eddie." Aiden smirked at the mention of the nickname, waiting to see Edwin's reaction. To his surprise, the doctor seemed to get a tiny bit shy because of it.

He cleared his throat. "I keep forgetting you're an all mighty celebrity. Not my fault, though. You refuse to sing for us."

Aiden's mood was ruined as easily as that. A sad smile forming on his face while looking at Lucas, who was struggling with god knows what.

"What's wrong? Was it something I said?" Edwin asked carefully.

"Hm? No no, it's okay. The junk is kicking in." When he'd get discharged from the hospital, he'd need to start making a whole bunch of new songs, cos he would never be able to sing the old ones again. They were all mixed with every moment of his life spent with the only one he ever loved. The only one who didn't want to see him anymore.
