Your POV

I had the day off, so I stayed my ass home with Alex and Normani. He had gotten comfortable with me and I won't deny that I was spoiling him a lot. Anything he wanted. I got it. He wanted to go to the zoo? I was taking off work to go to the zoo. Mani said I shouldn't do it, but I couldn't stop myself. He was just so adorable and so kind. He deserved the world.

That morning I was in the living room waiting fo Alex to wake up so we could most likely play in the backyard. I heard someone ring the doorbell, so I got up to answer the door. It was Mani's ex.

"May I help you?" I asked him about to have a blast with this.

"Where's my girl and my son?" he asked.

"I think you have the wrong house," I told him.

"Y/N, I'm not playing. Where are they?" he questioned and I laughed.

"I so scared," I said and laughed in his face.

"Bro, where are they?" I heard Alex giggling as he came down the stairs. He ran to me and hugged my leg.

"Morning, Y/N/N," he said and I smiled at him.

"Good morning, how did you sleep? You like your bed?" I asked him and he nodded eagerly.

"Hey, buddy. I missed you," his dad told him and Alexa looked at him.

"Who t'at, Y/N?" he asked me.

"I don't know. He says he's looking for his girl and his son," I told Alex. Alex did pick up my sense of humor and my sarcasm.

"Come on, Alex. It's me. It's daddy," he said to Alex.

"I no 'ave a daddy. I got a mommy and a Y/N/N," he said and I tried to not laugh at the look on his face.

"Do you know your dad? You know what he looks like?" I asked Alex and he shook his head.

"I ha'e to say it, I hope I no sound ridi'uwous (ridiculous). I no kno' who t'at man is. I mean, he could be wal'ing down da s'eet, I wouldn't kno' a t'ing. Sowwy to t'at man," he said and I really had to hold in my laugh. Normani came down the stairs and I looked back at her.

"Who's at the door?" she asked as she walked towards me.

"Some guy looking for his girl and his son," I told her. She looked at me trying not to laugh.

"What do they look like? Maybe we can spread the word around the neighborhood to keep an eye out for them," she told him and I hid my laugh with a cough.

"I go to get foo'," Alex said leaving Mani and I at the door with her baby's father.

"Baby, quit playing. Come home. I miss you," he said to her and I rolled my eyes.
