Part III
Your POV
Gabriella's Album Release Party

I arrived at the party a little late. There was people that were signed to the label there and some other people that I didn't know of or care to know. I stood close to the entrance not wanting to be bothered with my back against the wall. A few people came up to me before Gabriella did.

"I'm so happy that you're here," she said with a cute smile on her face.

"I told you I'd be here," I said to her with a small smile on my face. She hugged me and I hugged her the same way I did yesterday.

"Do you want anything to drink?" she asked.

"I'm good. If I do, I can get it myself," I replied.

"Why you over here by yourself?" she asked me holding onto my hands.

"I just got here, so I was just looking for all the exits," I told her and she giggled.

"You and your escape plans," she said squeezing my hand.

"Gotta be ready," I told her and she playfully shook her head, "I'm gotta use the restroom, so I'll be right back."

"Okay," she said and left go of my hand. I walked to the bathroom and walked in. I just washed my hands and stayed in there for a few minutes. When I walked back out, Gabriella was talking to someone. So I found somewhere to sit by myself. I nodded my head to the music that was playing and zoned out for a few minutes.

"There you are. I thought you said you were coming right back," Gabriella said interruption my thoughts.

"You were talking to someone and I didn't want to be rude by interrupting your conversation," I said honestly wishing I didn't come.

"Normally, you don't care," she laughed and I just nodded.

"Pictures?" the photographer asked. I looked at Gabriella, who nodded. I stood up and she wrapped her arms around me, so I just draped one over her shoulder. I smiled at the camera. He took the pictures and walked away.

"What's wrong?" Gabriella asked with her arms still wrapped around me.

"Nothing, why?" I asked her.

"You're so distant from me. Normally, when we hug, you'd me tight and kiss my forehead," she said.

"I'm not trying to make anymore uncomfortable than I already have, Gabriella," I told her.

"I didn't mean it like that."

"You did and it's fine. I promise," I replied looking at her. She looked everywhere, but my eyes. The night went on anyways. I stayed in the corner where I was just in my own little world.

"I'd like to say thank you to everyone for being here. It's crazy that I'm releasing my second album. Thanks to everyone that helped with the album. You all are amazing at what you do and yeah, enjoy the album. Love you guys," she said and the crowd cheered. Her album began to play on shuffle and the first song that came on was, Could've Been. Unknowingly, I tapped my foot to the beat. I distracted myself with my phone as I typed lyrics that I had in my head. I felt eyes on me, but I didn't dare to look up at all because I already knew who was looking at me. Without moving my head, I looked up to see Gabriella looking at me with a worried look on her

"Why Y/N all the way over there?" Cordae asked me.

"She's just not in a good mood," I replied sipping my drink looking back over at her. She typed away on her phone. I felt terrible about yesterday.
