Nicolas Pov
After I placed Kayla in the ambulance, I told Daniel and one of the policemen to go with her. I was going to kill Cole for what he had done.
"Where is Cole!!!?" I shouted
"Hmmm...... Nic, you need to calm down okay," Leo said
"Calm down did you see what he did to Kayla," I said as I was already in tears
"Nic, Cola isn't her, but his wife and Daughter was caught," James said
"Daughter?" I asked confused "Cole doesn't a daughter,"
"Oh you will be surprised," Leo said as they walked me to the policemen, and I saw them putting handcuffs on two women, but what shocked me most was when they turned to face me.
"Cherry?" I said
"Good, you finally showed up, do you feel like a superhero now?" Cherry said, and I was still confused.
"But how are you an Argent," I asked
"Apparently, Cherry is a born and raised Argent, she is really Kayla's cousin, but for some reason, she wasn't staying with them," James explained
"I should have killed her when I had the chance, That girl doesn't deserve you Nic. it has always been me and you," Cherry said
"Are you nuts? where you the one who shot Kayla?" I asked
"Bingo, I did it for us, ever since that bitch came here she has taken my life, I just wanted it back, and to marry you," Cherry said.
I wanted to grab a gun and shoot her right now, but I had to cool off
"You are a Murder, you are filthy and stupid it is you think I was ever going to even let you be my girlfriend. Maybe that's why your parents didn't want you but after all, it runs in the blood," I said to her in disgust. "Where is your husband, Camille?"
"Finally someone remembers I am here, you know I kind of liked you and wanted you for myself, but I knew you wouldn't take a married woman so I was going to use my daughter but you wouldn't take her either but then you like that whore. I just couldn't take it, everyday I felt like stabbing her in her sleep," Camille said in disgust.
"Answer the fucking Question Camille, WHERE. IS. COLE.?" I asked
"I am never going to sell my husband out, it runs in the family don't you know," Camille said
"You think he cares for you?" I said as I laughed "You are delusional, all of you. Cole only cares about Money" I said to them.
"Cole will always be one step ahead, and he will get me out of prison," Camille said
"I am so sorry, he can't. We have evidence, and witnesses" James said as he walked up to us with a policeman. "Can I talk to you?" James asked and I nodded.
"Kayla grandmother isn't here," James said
"What?" I asked
"He must have her somewhere else that nobody knows because none of the guards know," James said, and I nodded.
After the police took Camille and Cherry to jail, we all went to the hospital where everyone was waiting.
"Nic, you are here," my mother said
"Good job son," My father said
"Dad, we didn't find her grandmother," I said to him, and he nodded
"We will don't worry, Kayla is inside. They removed the bullet, but she lost a lot of blood" My dad said, and I was already crying.
"I- I- Sh- ould - have - be- en- the-re for her" I stammered and cried.
"It's not your fault Son," My dad said.
The doctor came out to give us more news on Kayla
"She has gotten through it but she is still weak, and we don't know when she is going to wake up, but I suggest you all should go home," The doctor said.
"Can we see her?" I asked
"Of course," the doctor said
We all walked into a sleeping Kayla, she looked really pale and weak, and it broke me to see her like this.
"Mr. Knight, I will be going now," Daniel said
"Please call me Nicolas, You can't leave, what if Kayla asks of you?" I asked Daniel
"She has done her part as she promised." He said
"Her part?" I was confused.
"I asked her to get me out of that place," he said
"How long have you been there? what about your family?" I asked
"Cole trained me after he took me from my family, My dad owed Cole a big debt and couldn't return it so after he killed my family, he took me and told me that is the only way I could repay him," Daniel explained and I was shocked.
"How long have you been with him?" I asked
"Since I was 15," Daniel said
"How old are you now?" I asked
"21" he answered.
"Cole isn't going to get away from what he has done, I promise you so please stay, I will help you, I will give you shelter," I said to him
"Mr. Knight, I don't want to be a burden to you," Daniel said
"It's Nicolas and you can't be a burden to be, you have helped me find Kayla, and besides if Kayla knew you left she will;l be sad," I said
"Fine, I will stay till she wakes," Daniel said, and I smiled.
I introduced Daniel to everyone and I told them Daniel's story with his permission. After we all said our goodbye to a sleeping Kayla, we left. I asked the doctor if I could stay with Kayla, and he agreed. I went home to pack some clothes and went back to the hospital.
