Ever since Before Alabasta Luffy has felt a lot of disrespect from the crew, at first he tried to ignore it because they are his friends, the best ones he'd ever had besides his two brothers. This wasn't just some crew he had, he had personal experiences with every single one of them which made Luffy quite upset because it seems like they forgot that.
